The holographic image showed footage from aboard the Supply Reserve Ship Glutton, stationed in synchronous orbit around the Ice Giant.
Under Zero's control, two robots carefully carried a specially designed container into a purpose-built high-pressure laboratory.
Naturally, the container held the skin sample taken from the Amino Giant Fish.
Although the high-pressure laboratory could not match the giant fish's native environment, it could still simulate conditions in the shallow waters of the Liquid Ammonia Ocean.
Once all preparations were complete, the robots opened the specially designed container.
A dark brown skin sample, its surface covered in impact marks and scratches, appeared before the camera.
Unlike in the footage captured by the exploration ship, the giant fish's skin even gave off a faint metallic sheen under the laboratory's ample lighting.
The sight left Lü Yongchang somewhat puzzled.
"This... doesn't look like biological tissue, does it?" Mao Zhengzhi voiced exactly what Lü Yongchang was thinking.
Lü Yongchang nodded slightly but offered no opinion. Instead, he frowned and said, "Let's examine it under a microscope first."
As soon as he finished speaking, Zero directed the robots to begin taking and examining samples.
There was no denying it.
The giant fish's skin was extraordinarily tough. Although no relevant tests had been conducted yet, Lü Yongchang believed its strength would be no lower than that of the strongest material humanity currently possessed.
After a long wait, the microscope images finally appeared before Lü Yongchang and Mao Zhengzhi.
"What?!"
"How is this possible?!" Mao Zhengzhi's and Lü Yongchang's cries rang out through the laboratory.
"This is definitely not biological tissue!" Mao Zhengzhi declared firmly.
"Agreed." Lü Yongchang's expression was grave as he said with certainty, "It looks like some kind of metal.
