Hope and Hansent shouted in unison.
On the screen, an exceptionally massive Giant Fish hovered silently directly in front of the Exploration Ship.
The orange-red ring of light on its belly brightened and dimmed, illuminating the dark, fathomless Liquid Ammonia Sea around it.
Unlike ordinary giant fish, this one's body bore strange patches under the searchlights.
The patches came in two colors. One was the dark brown armor they had seen last time.
The other consisted of "unidentified objects" with a silvery-white sheen.
The view slowly zoomed in, and the image gradually became clearer.
"That... that looks like the wreckage of our [Poseidon] Exploration Ship, doesn't it?" Hansent murmured as he watched the screen. "If I'm not mistaken, that thing beside its tail should be the [Poseidon]'s propeller?"
Hope swallowed. "It's not just the propeller. There are other components, too..."
The two exchanged a glance and spoke in unison again:
"Did we just... run into an old acquaintance?!"
"No, no, no." Hope shook his head, hastily correcting himself. "An old fish acquaintance, more like."

The Amino Giant Fish directly in front of the [Poseidon Type II Exploration Ship] was none other than the Giant Fish leader with a particular fondness for the vessel's wreckage!
In the half month since they had last seen it, it had clearly completed its own unique "evolution"—it had smashed the abandoned [Poseidon] Exploration Ship into pieces and fashioned those fragments into half a brand-new suit of armor!
This reunion after a long separation brought Hope and Hansent not joy, but terror from the depths of their hearts.

Hansent swallowed and muttered, "Don't do this to me... It won't recognize our Exploration Ship, will it?"
