More than ten minutes later.
Wilson sat uneasily in the chair before the desk, carefully studying the holographic image in front of Lü Yongchang.
High-Energy Neutron Storm.
At the sight of those words, Wilson instinctively frowned.
As the name suggested, this was a lethal weapon that used high-energy neutrons.
Its primary targets were, naturally, carbon-based organisms.
Humanity had mastered this means of killing as far back as the Earth Era.
The neutron bomb.
A small, low-yield hydrogen bomb whose primary killing power came from high-energy neutron radiation.
By enhancing its radiation and reducing its explosive force, it caused very little damage to buildings and facilities, left no long-term radioactive contamination, and was mainly used to kill organisms inside buildings.
But by today's standards, such a weapon was far too weak.
A faint trace of disappointment immediately appeared in Wilson's eyes.
"Just now, a report transmitted by an Interstellar Probe identified a planet with carbon-based life of low intelligence."
Lü Yongchang's voice suddenly rang out, almost as though he were talking to himself.
"Assessments across the board indicate that this planet has considerable potential for terraforming and colonization."
"But the carbon-based organisms of low intelligence living there pose a significant obstacle."
As he spoke, Lü Yongchang raised a hand and gestured.
A deep-blue planet quickly appeared in the holographic projection beside him.
As the view rapidly zoomed in, Wilson gradually made out the source of that deep blue.
It was a type of vine-like plant with deep-blue leaves. The vines intertwined, covering the entire planet like an immense primeval forest.
The view continued to zoom in, and Wilson could clearly see insect-like creatures of all shapes living among the vines.
Some gnawed on plants, some fought, and others slaughtered one another...
Scene after scene formed a picture of a primitive, untamed
