Vol. 9The Andromeda Expedition

Lü Yongchang led Humanity from preparing an expedition to Andromeda to surviving the Cleaners’ attacks and reaching level seven. As the fleet prepared to leave for M87, the Gardener Faction attacked the Cleaners and drew both sides into a major battle.

  • [Ten] gave Lü Yongchang the Tenth Empire’s last signal coordinates, and the Imperial Fortress exchanged hydrogen and helium for Human Civilization’s research access.
  • Lü Yongchang persuaded Fang Xu and the academicians to support an Andromeda expedition, and the Federation approved a fleet departing from the Solar System.
  • Lü Yongchang’s team used [Kuafu] to capture a micro-universe and transport a red dwarf, and [Ten] agreed to take the Tenth Empire Homeworld Fortress to Andromeda.
  • The fleet reached Titan and found more than a million jellyfish gathered around the abandoned Luan Bird, where their patriarch mistook an unknown arrival for a god’s descent.
  • Lü Yongchang used twin supernova explosions to break the Cleaners’ White Dwarf Fortress shield, but the Cleaners’ four-dimensional shock wave began dissolving the Human fleet.
  • The Silicon Stingray Civilization destroyed the shock wave, and Lü Yongchang fabricated a history of the Enroget Civilization as a carbon-silicon partnership.
  • Lü Yongchang completed dark matter theory and raised Human Civilization to level seven while developing new technologies and a White Dwarf-Class Warship Formation.
  • Time discovered that the Enroget Civilization was Human Civilization as the Gardener Faction attacked the Cleaners’ Andromeda Branch, prompting the Cleaners to counterattack.

Arc 33The Andromeda Expedition

Lü Yongchang led Human Civilization from studying the Tenth Empire’s Optical Brain to developing four-dimensional optical computing and strong interaction material. After preparing for threats in the Milky Way, he won approval for an expedition to Andromeda and set its route to begin from humanity’s birthplace, the Solar System.

  • [Ten] gave Lü Yongchang the Tenth Empire’s last signal coordinates, and the Imperial Fortress later exchanged hydrogen and helium supplies for Human Civilization’s research access.
  • Lü Yongchang directed research into spatial weapons and Light-Ray Materialization, then led academicians in decoding the Fortress Central Brain’s four-dimensional architecture and developing an incomplete Four-Dimensional Optical Brain.
  • Over the following centuries, the Pan-Human Federation expanded across 1,000 light-years, while Lü Yongchang redirected resources toward warships as he worried about a rival level six civilization.
  • Lü Yongchang corrected the equations for strong interaction material and helped the Materials Research Center successfully produce dense hydrogen sheets for starship armor.
  • Lü Yongchang persuaded Fang Xu and the academicians to support an Andromeda expedition, proposing a Star-Class Home Fortress capable of carrying over ten billion people.
  • The Human Federation Parliament approved the plan, citizens endorsed it by more than 99%, and preparations began for a departure six hundred years later.
  • As Human Civilization expanded through the ancient war’s barren region, Lü Yongchang recognized it as the Dead Silent Region and ordered a survey of the surrounding hundred light-years.
  • Lü Yongchang changed the route so the fleet would depart from the Solar System and retrace humanity’s old escape route toward Andromeda.

Arc 34The Expedition Begins

Humanity captured a micro-universe, used it to transport stars, and secured the Empire Homeworld Fortress as an ally before launching its fleet toward Andromeda. After reaching the ruined Solar System, the fleet found Titan’s surviving jellyfish, whose religious leaders mistook its arrival for a divine descent.

  • Lü Yongchang’s researchers developed Spatial Shields and advanced Klein bottle experiments, then discovered that natural Klein bottle structures could lead to isolated micro-universes.
  • Lü Yongchang’s team found a one-light-year micro-universe and built [Kuafu] to capture and tow it, successfully transporting a red dwarf inside.
  • Lü Yongchang brought a G-type yellow dwarf to the [Tenth Empire] Homeworld Fortress, and [Ten] agreed to take the fortress to Andromeda with humanity.
  • Humanity repaired the fortress’s travel capability and assembled a five-hundred-ship fleet around [Kuafu], then launched its expedition from the Kepler-452 Stellar System.
  • The fleet crossed ruined stellar systems and reached the Solar System, where Lü Yongchang ordered a search for life on Titan.
  • The survey found no jellyfish in Titan’s Inner Sea, but a land search revealed 1,032,467 jellyfish gathered around the abandoned Luan Bird.
  • The jellyfish’s Star Gazer warned of a Third World-Ending Punishment, so their patriarch led them to the Divine Ruins for a Grand Prayer Ritual.
  • After twenty hours of unanswered prayers, an unknown object appeared before the Divine Temple, and the patriarch declared that a god had descended.

Arc 35The Andromeda Encounter

Lü Yongchang’s fleet crossed the intergalactic bridge and faced the Cleaners in Andromeda, where the Cleaners’ four-dimensional technology nearly destroyed the humans. The Silicon Stingray Civilization intervened, and Lü Yongchang concealed the fleet’s origins while seeking its help.

  • Lü Yongchang saved the Titan jellyfish from their dying world, moved Titan into the micro-universe, and arranged for the Federation to guide them toward becoming a vassal civilization.
  • The Human Federation encountered the Cleaners’ Herders near the Milky Way’s edge and destroyed their fleet, then learned that the Herders served the Cleaners.
  • Lü Yongchang led the fleet across the intergalactic bridge, and after 5,143 years it reached Andromeda with its micro-universe supplies nearly exhausted.
  • The Cleaners’ White Dwarf Fortress attacked the Human fleet, but Lü Yongchang used twin supernova explosions to break its four-dimensional shield.
  • The Cleaners ascended the White Dwarf Fortress into four-dimensional space and launched a shock wave that began dissolving the Human fleet.
  • The Silicon Stingray Civilization destroyed the shock wave and confronted the Cleaners, who retreated after learning the humans belonged to the Silicon-Based Alliance.
  • Lü Yongchang fabricated a history presenting the Enroget Civilization as a carbon-silicon partnership, and the Silicon Stingray accepted it provisionally and took four stars for its broadcast.

Arc 36The Andromeda War

Lü Yongchang led Human Civilization through the Neutral Faction and the black hole merger, achieving level seven after uncovering dark matter phenomena. As Humanity prepared to leave Andromeda with Silicon Ray, the Gardener Faction attacked the Cleaners, drawing both sides into a major battle.

  • The Silicon Stingray Civilization secured the Enroget Civilization’s admission to the Silicon-Based Alliance and guided Lü Yongchang’s fleet into Andromeda.
  • Lü Yongchang led the Human Fleet to the merging black holes, where the visible dark matter fluctuations drew the Cleaners’ forces and brought Alcott under Human protection.
  • Silicon Ray intervened when the Cleaners threatened Humanity and Alcott, then explained the Neutral Faction’s uneasy balance with the Cleaners and the Gardener Faction.
  • Lü Yongchang completed dark matter theory, raised Human Civilization to level seven, and led a five-hundred-year effort to develop new technologies and a White Dwarf-Class Warship Formation.
  • Human Civilization separated a micro-universe, met Silicon Ray, and began traveling toward M87, but Thread and Time barred them from leaving Andromeda while the Gardener Faction carried out its plan.
  • Lü Yongchang developed the Lost Insect Swarm and prepared the fleet for departure, while Thread and Time escorted Humanity and Silicon Ray to Andromeda’s edge.
  • Time discovered that the Enroget Civilization was Human Civilization, but the Gardener Faction’s attack on the Cleaners interrupted their attempt to open a wormhole.
  • The Gardener Faction struck the Cleaners’ Andromeda Branch, and the Cleaners countered with Four-Dimensional Shock Bombs and Dark Matter Cannons as both sides escalated the battle.
