Light and Shadow answered Luo Qi's questions philosophically, but Luo Qi neither understood nor believed that this traveler would truly die. As it had said itself, death merely meant a new beginning.
After all, its technological power should have been at the universe level. An existence like that had long since defied the laws of nature. How could it die of old age unless it chose to? But who would complain about living too long? Luo Qi stopped dwelling on the question. Having traveled through multiple universes, perhaps it knew something!
Luo Qi, a microcosm, could not help asking, "Do you know about factions like the Regional Administrators or the Order Breakers? What lies outside the universe? Does the greater universe have a consciousness of its own? Where did the other spaces and civilizations in some universes go?"
"Ah, so many questions. Very well. Consider this my final outpouring at the end of my life."
Luo Qi had not really expected it to answer, but it did. He immediately erected a spatial barrier and listened quietly. Within the barrier, motion between particles ceased, meaning time did not exist.
Light and Shadow glanced at Luo Qi, then waved away the spatial barrier to face the radiant universe.
It said, "Endless universes contain endless civilizations. Each fights for its own beliefs or subjective convictions, and its subjective world comes from the greater universe it has encountered."
"Some civilizations fear the endless void, some fear the decline and death of the universe, and some fear their own deaths... thus, all manner of factions take shape."
Luo Qi nodded thoughtfully. So the supposedly "official" organizations he had seen were actually nothing more than spontaneously formed "grassroots" organizations. His own standing was too low, his development too brief, and his access to information too limited
