As the broadcast repeated, Zhang Cheng checked Liang Hui's gear and found him wearing a grin that begged for a punch. His parachute pack was identical to Zhang Cheng's.
"All good." He rolled his eyes and turned to check the young man on his other side.
Everyone took turns checking one another, with identical results. Amid the chatter, Zhang Cheng faintly heard people discussing [Radiance].
It seemed this virtual reality game really was hardcore enough to attract so many players.
Liang Hui suddenly shouted to Zhang Cheng, "[Radiance], Galactic Federation military, Landing Attack Craft pilot!"
"What the fuck..."
Zhang Cheng had run out of ways to complain. Didn't he know how embarrassing it was to suddenly shout something like that? It was so fucking cringe!
"Heavy Mech pilot reporting for duty!!"
"Suppressive fire gunner reporting for duty!!"
Excited shouts rang out from every direction, and somehow it no longer seemed embarrassing.
Instead, everyone looked proud to be part of it. Facing his first parachute jump, Zhang Cheng watched the laughing, chatting crowd and felt his nerves go through the roof!
An alarm suddenly sounded, and a gap opened in the rear wall. Cold air came rushing in!
Zhang Cheng craned his neck to look. Behind them, vast sheets of thin cloud shrouded the land below, and he could see where earth met sky.
At the jump exit, a young Alliance veteran secured by a safety line raised a megaphone and shouted, "Unfasten your seat belts! Personnel on this level, jump in order!"
The Aircraft flew steadily. The wind pouring inside was cold, but it couldn't dampen the young recruits' enthusiasm.
The people ahead jumped quickly. When it was the turn of the man just ahead of Zhang Cheng, his face twitched with excitement. Laughing, he tipped sideways and dropped out.
