Ye Fan walked along Antique Street, picked out a decent Jade Shop, and went inside.
"See anything you like, handsome?" the shopkeeper asked.
"How much is this jade pendant?"
"This jade pendant was blessed by a master. Thirty thousand yuan."
Ye Fan gave a light snort. "Are masters that cheap these days? Every random jade pendant has supposedly been blessed by one. Come on, give me a better price!"
"How much were you thinking, then?"
"I only brought five thousand yuan today. If it costs more than that, I'm not buying it," Ye Fan said.
"Five thousand it is, then."
Ye Fan was speechless. I should have offered even less. What a crook.
As Ye Fan stood at the counter, he felt a gust of cold air sweep past. A cool, aloof young man had appeared beside him.
Bai Yunxi greeted the owner of the Treasure Pavilion. "Uncle Zhou."
Ye Fan stared at Bai Yunxi, his eyes widening in surprise. "Hey, we meet again! We really must be destined for each other!"
Bai Yunxi glanced at Ye Fan and ignored him.
The last time, on the medicinal herb street, Ye Fan had only caught a fleeting glimpse of Bai Yunxi and thought he was good-looking. Seeing him up close now, Ye Fan realized he was truly gorgeous. To his surprise, though, Bai Yunxi actually had a phoenix marrow constitution.
It was a scorching hot day, yet standing beside Bai Yunxi, Ye Fan could feel waves of intense cold.

Ye Fan looked at Bai Yunxi eagerly. "If you like this Jade Buddha, I'll buy it for you!"
Bai Yunxi looked at Ye Fan with interest. "For me? Why would you give it to me?"
"Because I like you!" Ye Fan replied without hesitation, his eyes shining.
Bai Yunxi tilted his head, like an arrogant cat toying with a mouse beneath its paws. "Give it to me if you want. But even if you do, I still won't like you..."
Ye Fan nodded and said earnestly, "I understand. You like someone worth tens of billions who can take an enemy's head amid thousands of troops as easily as reaching into his own pocket. I can't do that yet, but I will someday..."
Bai Yunxi was speechless. Where did this clown come from? Did he escape from a psychiatric hospital?
"Yes, that's right. That's the sort I like. Are you sure you can reach that level?" Bai Yunxi asked with a smile.
Ye Fan grinned brightly. "Then you have to wait for me! You know, your health isn't good, and you get chills now and then. Whatever you do, don't sleep with a woman! You have a special constitution. Sleeping with a woman will only make your condition worse."
Bai Yunxi's face darkened as he looked at Ye Fan. "Are you sick in the head?"
Ye Fan shook his head. "I'm not sick! Your condition is the serious one." He thought to himself, Honestly, this Bai Yunxi refuses to admit he's sick, then thinks I'm the sick one. Still, he's good-looking, so I suppose I can put up with a bad temper.
Bai Yunxi shot Ye Fan a fierce glare, then turned and left.
Ye Fan chased after him, only to catch sight of the rear of Bai Yunxi's car.
"Young man, you're very well informed!" Zhou Jinzhi said, his gaze inscrutable.
Ye Fan looked at Zhou Jinzhi in confusion. "Well informed? About what?"
"About Bai Yunxi! You've certainly done your research," Zhou Jinzhi said.
"I don't need to ask around. Everyone with his constitution is like that. Since you know him, I'll buy this Jade Buddha, and you can deliver it to him for me," Ye Fan said, looking at Zhou Jinzhi with wide eyes.
Zhou Jinzhi smiled. "Young Master Bai has very high standards. Plenty of people pursue him, including young ladies from prominent families and famous film and television stars. Giving him this will probably just be money down the drain. Young Master Bai doesn't like men."
Ye Fan shook his head. "That's all right. I'll work hard to win him over."
Zhou Jinzhi was speechless. This silly boy certainly is persistent!
"Didn't you say you only had five thousand yuan? How come you have money now?" Zhou Jinzhi asked.
"I don't have the cash, but I can make a bank transfer!" Ye Fan said.
Zhou Jinzhi was speechless.
"Let me borrow your pen," Ye Fan said.
Zhou Jinzhi looked at him. "Are you going to write Bai Yunxi a love letter?"
Ye Fan nodded. "You could say that."
Ye Fan quickly wrote out a prescription to ease the cold affliction caused by an ice marrow constitution, then drew a heart on it. After a moment's thought, he added a line beneath the heart: "One day, I'll ride the Seven-Colored Auspicious Clouds to come and marry you. You have to wait for me!"
Zhou Jinzhi looked at Ye Fan, utterly speechless, certain that he had watched too many idiotic dramas.
"What are these medicines for?" Zhou Jinzhi asked.
"It's a prescription to ease attacks of the cold affliction," Ye Fan said.
Zhou Jinzhi was speechless.
"You know how to treat illnesses too!" Zhou Jinzhi said with a smile.
"Since childhood, I've read widely, remembered everything at a glance, and possessed profound wisdom unmatched under heaven. It's only treating illnesses. Of course I know how," Ye Fan declared proudly, his chin raised.
Zhou Jinzhi was speechless.
