Ye Fan followed Bai Yunxi into the hospital room. Bai Momo brightened at the sight of him. "Uncle, thank you for the Jade Pendant! It saved me from disaster!"

"You made that Jade Pendant?" Zhang Xuan asked, eyeing Ye Fan skeptically.

Ye Fan nodded. "That's right."

Surprise flashed in Zhang Xuan's eyes. Dragon Tiger Mountain had Celestial Masters who could craft magical artifacts, but they were all of his martial uncles' or grandmasters' generation. He had never expected Bai Momo's Jade Pendant artifact to have been made by Ye Fan.

Zhang Xuan had noticed Bai Momo's Jade Pendant as soon as he arrived, and it had puzzled him. The jade hanging around her neck was of poor quality, yet it radiated an intense spiritual glow. It was anything but ordinary.

To Zhang Xuan, it was like watching a master painter create an unparalleled masterpiece on a sheet of greasy paper. It left him feeling as though he had swallowed a fly.

Zhang Xuan gave Ye Fan a strange look. "You can make magical artifacts?"

Ye Fan nodded. "Sure! Artifacts like this Jade Pendant aren't very hard to make."

The corner of Zhang Xuan's mouth twitched. He thought Ye Fan was boasting, but said nothing. Whether the Jade Pendant was easy to make or not, the fact that Ye Fan could make it put him above Zhang Xuan. He couldn't help feeling dispirited.

"Uncle, I'm a little hungry. Could you buy me something to eat?" Bai Momo asked Bai Yunxi, who was standing nearby.

"You're always making demands!" Bai Yunxi said irritably.

"Uncle, please?" Bai Momo wheedled.

Bai Yunxi sighed, turned, and walked out.

As soon as Bai Yunxi left, Bai Momo showed her true colors.

Her eyes sparkled as she looked at Ye Fan. "Uncle Ye, where did you go? You were gone for days, and no one could reach you. Uncle thought you'd dumped him. He was in an awful mood and kept scolding me."

Bai Yunxi was just outside the door and happened to hear her. He immediately felt the urge to give Bai Momo a beating.

He took a deep breath, pretended he hadn't heard, and walked away.

"Really? Your uncle missed me?" Ye Fan broke into a smug grin.

Bai Momo nodded, looking deeply aggrieved. "Yes, I think he missed you. People who've been dumped are always especially irritable, and I just happened to get caught in the crossfire. You have no idea how pitiful I was."

Listening beside them, Zhang Xuan couldn't help rolling his eyes. He had thought Ye Fan was only joking about having a boyfriend, but now he realized there really was something going on between Ye Fan and Bai Yunxi. How had someone as refined and upright as Bai Yunxi ended up with an idiot like Ye Fan?

"That ghost came after you again." Though delighted, Ye Fan hadn't forgotten why he was there.

Bai Momo nodded. "Yes."

Ye Fan took out the Yin Ghost Banner and waved it. All the lingering yin energy in the hospital room flowed into the banner.

The moment Ye Fan brought out the artifact, Zhang Xuan's eyes filled with envy and amazement.

"You ate a spiritual herb when you were little? No wonder that hungry ghost targeted you. You're far too nourishing," Ye Fan said.

One of the ghost spirits in the Yin Ghost Banner had told Ye Fan that Bai Momo had eaten a spiritual herb. It had said that the girl was so nourishing, it wanted to take a bite of her too.

Bai Momo nodded. "I did eat a spiritual herb."

Apparently, she had been frail and sickly at the age of two. Her grandfather had obtained an unusual lingzhi for her, and after eating it, she had never fallen ill again!

"So that's it!" In truth, when Bai Yunxi had asked whether his constitution could affect others, Ye Fan hadn't been entirely sure. After all, the yin energy in Bai Yunxi's body was so dense that it would be only natural for people around him to be affected. But Ye Fan liked Bai Yunxi, so he had naturally shifted the blame elsewhere. Now that he knew the problem lay with Bai Momo herself, he felt relieved.

"Uncle, what were you doing just now?" Bai Momo asked.

"I was collecting the ghost energy in this room so I could use it to find that ghost," Ye Fan said.

"That sounds amazing!" Bai Momo said excitedly. "Can you find it, then?"

"I should be able to," Ye Fan said.

Zhang Xuan finally found an opening to speak. "You're bluffing!"

Ye Fan gave him an annoyed look. "Who's bluffing? Just because you can't find it doesn't mean I can't."

Zhang Xuan snorted. "Fine! I'd like to see how you track that thing down!"

Ye Fan looked at Zhang Xuan and smiled. "Since you've so sincerely asked for guidance, I'll take you out to broaden your horizons in a bit! Young people can't just shut themselves away and work in a vacuum. It'll do you good to come along and see more of the world."

Zhang Xuan was speechless. Ye Fan really knew how to seize an opening and run with it!

"I'm going to look for the ghost now. Do you want to come?" Ye Fan asked.

Zhang Xuan gave a soft snort. "Sure! I'd like to see what tricks you have up your sleeve."

Zhang Xuan followed Ye Fan into a taxi.

"Where to, young man?" the driver asked Ye Fan.

"I don't know. Head east for now," Ye Fan said.

The driver gave him a baffled look.

"Don't worry. You'll get your full fare," Ye Fan said casually.

At that, the driver stopped hesitating and drove off.

Ye Fan gave directions at intervals. After countless turns and more than two hours, the taxi finally reached its destination.

Ye Fan got out, and Zhang Xuan followed. "Here?"

Ye Fan nodded. "Following the ghost energy led me here, so this should be the place."

Zhang Xuan sneered. "Following the ghost energy? Weren't you just putting on an act?"

Ye Fan glanced at him. "I don't know whether you spirit-medium types enjoy putting on an act, but I don't."

"You're the spirit medium!" Zhang Xuan snapped furiously.

Ye Fan shook his head. "I can't dance, so I can't do those spirit-medium dances!"

Zhang Xuan was speechless.

"Who are you two? Get out of here," a guard at the entrance said.

Ye Fan frowned and looked at Zhang Xuan in confusion. "Why is that guard telling us to leave?"

"Because you're wearing slippers. He thinks there's something wrong with your head. I'm just getting dragged into it," Zhang Xuan said indignantly.

"Nonsense. It's obviously because you're so ugly. You're dragging me down," Ye Fan said dismissively.

With his hands on his hips, Ye Fan addressed the guard imperiously. "Hey, who's your boss? Tell him to come out and see me. I have something to discuss with him. If he refuses to see me, he'll be in big trouble."

The guards glared at Ye Fan, convinced he was there to cause trouble.

The head guard looked at him helplessly. "Young man, if you want to see our boss, you'll need an appointment. You might get one around this time next year."

Ye Fan frowned and shook his head. "Next year? It'll be far too late by then..."

Zhang Xuan rolled his eyes. He's being sarcastic! Sarcastic! And Ye Fan actually took him seriously.

"You're not getting anywhere, are you?" Zhang Xuan said.

"If I can't do it, you try!" Ye Fan retorted irritably.

Zhang Xuan smiled proudly. "Hey, call your boss out. We're from Dragon Tiger Mountain."

The guards burst out laughing. "Kid, do you know which mountain we're from? We're from Overlord Mountain."

"You..." Zhang Xuan seethed. Whenever he went out with his sect elders, people fawned over him, and even important figures treated him respectfully. Yet these guards actually dared to mock him.

Ye Fan looked at Zhang Xuan and blinked. "The name of Dragon Tiger Mountain doesn't seem to carry much weight!"

Zhang Xuan was speechless. It wasn't that Dragon Tiger Mountain's name carried no weight. These idiots simply didn't know any better!

A Porsche pulled up outside the factory, and a man and a woman got out. The moment the man saw Ye Fan, he hurried over, nodding and bowing with an utterly ingratiating expression.

"Master Ye, what brings you here? I've been wanting to invite you to dinner these past few days, but I couldn't reach you," Zhang Siliang said excitedly.

"Master Ye, thank you so much for helping Siliang," Ning Shuang said gratefully.

"And you are?"

"I'm Zhang Siliang's wife." Ning Shuang hated Yuan Yi to the bone. Back then, while Zhang Siliang was controlled by a gu worm, Yuan Yi had nearly used him to kill their child. Now that the worm had been removed, Ning Shuang no longer had to hold back for fear of hurting someone she cared about. Lately, she had been making life miserable for the Yuan family.

Ning Shuang had helped Zhang Siliang build his business from nothing and was a formidable woman herself. Under her attacks, the Yuan family was suffering terribly.

Ye Fan looked at Zhang Siliang in puzzlement. "Why are you here?"

"This is my factory," Zhang Siliang said, equally puzzled. "Master, didn't you come here to see me?"

Ye Fan shook his head. "No. I tracked a ghost here."

Zhang Siliang's eyes widened in surprise. He hadn't originally planned to come, but several workers at the factory had fallen ill one after another, and no one could determine the cause, so he had come to investigate. Was there a ghost in his factory?

Ye Fan nodded. "Yes, I'm here for some Ghost Hunting."

Zhang Siliang immediately felt both delighted and worried. With Ye Fan here, his abilities should be enough to resolve the matter of the sick workers. But his services came at a steep price. Most of Zhang Construction Materials' funds had long since been transferred into Ning Shuang's and their son's names. The fifty million he had paid last time had nearly drained what little personal wealth he had left.

Zhang Siliang had told Ning Shuang that Ye Fan wouldn't lift a finger without payment, so she quickly said, "Then sorry for the trouble, Master Ye. As long as you're willing to help, Young Master Ye, money is no object."

Zhang Xuan looked at Zhang Siliang, his eyes shifting thoughtfully. He had heard a little about the couple by chance, and their story was rather bizarre.

Supposedly, Zhang Siliang had cheated with his wife's classmate and abandoned his wife and child, going from a model husband to a heartless scumbag. Their divorce had been so bitter that they had wanted nothing to do with each other ever again.

Yet a few years later, Zhang Siliang had dumped his mistress and remarried his first wife. Astonishingly, their relationship seemed entirely unaffected.

Rumor had it that Zhang Siliang had cheated because he was under an evil spell. Once the spell was lifted, he had come to his senses.

Zhang Xuan had thought the evil spell was just a rumor, but seeing the couple's reaction, he realized there might actually have been something to it.

"Master, let's talk inside," Zhang Siliang said.

Ye Fan nodded. "All right."
