Huo Yuhao rejected Tang San’s path, built his strength through soul tools and alliances, and exposed the divine forces shaping the tournament and his family’s past. After the tournament’s violence reached Ye Guyi and the Mingyue Hotel, he helped her choose freedom and continued opposing the plans of Tang Wutong and the gods.

• Huo Yuhao refused Tang Ya’s offer to join the Tang Sect, chose the Sun Moon Empire, and met Ye Guyi after sensing her Holy Angel martial soul.
• Huo Yuhao entered the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy, impressed Jing Hongchen with his soul-tool crafting, and began designing armor that could give ordinary soldiers Soul Master-level power.
• Huo Yuhao recruited the Ice Empress and Snow Girl, rescued Snow Girl from Soul Engineers, and later used Necromancy to free his mother Huo Yun’er from the White Tiger Duke’s control.

Huo Yuhao challenged the divine schemes surrounding Tang Wutong and Qiu'er while changing the relationship between humans and soul beasts. After Shrek's attack on the Star Dou Great Forest failed, Huo Yuhao returned to Sun Moon as new cultivation methods spread across the continent.

• Tang Wutong defeated Xiao Hongchen and Meng Hongchen, then sought Huo Yuhao and warned him of a coming calamity as Mingdu was destroyed.
• Huo Yuhao rescued Ye Guyi, while Xuan Zi concealed Shrek's role in the disaster and Xu Tianran sent Huo Yuhao and Snow Girl to Shrek as exchange students.
• Mu En and Ye Xishui arranged Shrek's assault on the Sun Moon tournament survivors, and the Death Messenger's ambush killed several students and gravely injured others.

Huo Yuhao returned to Star Luo and confronted the Dai Family’s crimes while Tang San tried to control his choices and the fate of Douluo Star. He freed Tang Ya from the Holy Spirit Cult, erased Tang San’s influence across the continent, and set out with his companions to compete in the tournament.

• Huo Yuhao escaped Tang Wutong’s attempt to capture him, then traveled to Star Luo and killed Dai Huabin after witnessing the Dai Family’s abuses.
• Huo Yuhao exposed the Holy Spirit Cult’s attack on the Angel Clan, destroyed the Angel Holy Sword and its formation, and learned why Ye Guyi had left Shrek.
• Huo Yuhao built the Monad Clock and expanded soul engineering, while Tang San accused Electrolux of influencing him and ordered Xiu Puluosi to kill him.
• Tang San tried to impose a scripted life on Huo Yuhao at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, but the Silver Dragon Empress and Di Tian helped Huo Yuhao survive the ensuing attacks.
