Ling Ling looked at everyone, signaling that it was time to act. They had also worked out the distribution of the demon beasts living on Black Reef Island, which was divided into three layers.
The first layer was the area less than a hundred meters deep, home to weak creatures like Sea Monster Monkeys. There were several thousand of them.
However, Sea Monster Monkeys were at the very bottom of the ocean's food chain, enslaved by many other sea monsters. As for their combat strength... they were comparable to Giant-Eyed Blood Rats on land, except they lacked a ranged burst attack like Laser Eye. They were even weaker than Giant-Eyed Blood Rats and weren't worth worrying about.
The area less than a thousand meters deep was home to Thunderstorm Squid. These creatures lived in groups and released thunderstorms when threatened. Once one squid released a thunderstorm, its companions would see it and do the same. This demon beast nest contained at least a thousand of them.
Finally, at a depth of twenty-five hundred meters, lived the true overlord of this place: the Black Sea Pseudo-Dragon.
"I'll go lure that Black Sea Pseudo-Dragon up."
Mu Ningxue volunteered, hoping to show Leng Mu what she could do. Ling Ling offered a suggestion.
"To keep the pseudo-dragon from diving down and escaping, you can provoke the Thunderstorm Squid into creating a lightning pressure field. That will block its retreat."
