Gray-white magic energy radiated from Su Miu's body. His aura was unmistakably one of death, yet it carried a sense of holiness.
The massive Three-Eyed Demon Wolf before him, a Warrior Level beast in the advanced stage, raised its huge claw and swiped at Su Miu. Electrolux's calm voice rang out.
"Watch closely, young friend. Your use of spiritual power is still far too limited. Today, I will teach you how to wield it with greater precision."
Within his Sea of Consciousness, Su Miu watched Electrolux control his body. At the same time, his spiritual power was compressed into a sharp cone and shot outward.
"Awooo!!!"
The cone plunged straight into the Three-Eyed Demon Wolf's mind. In an instant, the beast let out a bloodcurdling scream. Blood poured from all seven of its facial orifices as it collapsed and rolled on the ground in agony.
This was Su Miu's first glimpse of truly exquisite control. The amount of spiritual power Electrolux had just used was exactly the same as what Su Miu used for Mind Shock, his Beginner Level Two Psychic Element skill.
Yet Su Miu could only give two advanced-stage Warrior Level demon wolves a headache, while Electrolux could instantly render one incapable of fighting.
So this was the world of a true master... incredible. And he cast it instantly, without even forming a Star Orbit or anything.
"Don't be surprised. This is merely the basics. Next, I will teach you Undead Element magic."
Seeing Su Miu's stunned expression, Electrolux calmly made his body raise a hand. A gray-white staff appeared in his grip.
"The essence of Undead Element magic is to master and command countless undead to serve you, not to use magic to forcibly manipulate corpses into fighting."
He began explaining Undead Element magic. He really couldn't bear to watch Su Miu use it just now; he had relied entirely on magic energy to forcibly manipulate the dead demon wolves, making them fight like mechanical puppets.
With the same amount of magic energy, Electrolux could command ten sub-Warrior Level demon beasts to fight, each with its own combat awareness.
In the outside world, Su Miu stepped forward, a breeze flowing beneath his feet. He slipped smoothly past the attacks of the surrounding demon wolves and flew two hundred meters away, coming to hover above the lifeless body of the Winged Azure Wolf.
An arcane, intricate incantation slowly spilled from his lips. A gray-white aura spread over the dead Winged Azure Wolf, and its corpse began to tremble. Finally, under Su Miu's astonished gaze, it slowly rose to its feet.
"Gate of the Undead!"
Electrolux then raised his staff high. The Gate of the Undead opened, and countless Servant Level Skeleton Soldiers, Warrior Level Skeleton Knights, Liches, and Screaming Banshees slowly emerged.
Even more shocking, three sub-Commander Level Bone Dragons flew out of the Gate of the Undead.
The undead army began sweeping through the tide of demon wolves. After its resurrection, the Winged Azure Wolf's strength had fallen from greater Commander Level to lesser Commander Level, but it remained immensely powerful.
Vast numbers of Essence Remnants and remnant souls flowed into Electrolux's body. He expended some of them to sustain his efforts.
"So this is what it means to be a one-man army?"
Su Miu was shaken to his core as he watched the demon wolf army that had been relentlessly chasing him get crushed and slaughtered by Electrolux's undead forces.
No wonder Electrolux was known as the Undead Calamity. The three sub-Commander Level Bone Dragons under his command alone were already terrifying.
And that was without even mentioning the twelve Personal Guards he had possessed at his peak, every one of them Commander Level.
A single Commander Level demon beast leading an army had nearly destroyed Bocheng, let alone the fifteen Commander Level powerhouses Electrolux commanded.
Maybe he even had a dozen or more Bone Dragons at his peak? A master really was a master. All hail the master!
"There's no need to envy me. Once you reach Intermediate Magic in your Necromancy Element, you'll be able to do this too. Furthermore, I will teach you Undead Element magic. Are you willing to learn?"
Electrolux regarded him with his hands behind his back, looking every inch a venerable master. After observing Su Miu for some time, he had discovered that the young man was remarkably sincere.
His pursuit of strength was pure, and he bore a blood debt. The Orange Calamity in Fengcheng had left Su Miu wanting nothing more than to kill Mu He, yet his disposition remained good. Hatred had not blinded him.
He was kind by nature and possessed an innocent heart. Combined with the fate that had brought them together, this inspired Electrolux to pass on his legacy.
The desire arose in his heart to let Undead Element magic flourish in this world, so unfamiliar yet so familiar.
"I am willing! Your disciple pays his respects, Teacher!"
Having witnessed the power of Undead Element magic, Su Miu was naturally eager to learn and immediately agreed. Electrolux nodded slightly. Meanwhile, the demon wolves outside had been almost completely eliminated.
"Good. Once you recover, I will pass my entire legacy on to you. For now, get some proper rest."
As he spoke, Electrolux made Su Miu's body wave the staff. The undead army streamed into the Gate of the Undead like a tide. Many of the slain Warrior Level demon wolves also rose again, then entered the gate to replenish its ranks.
Once the Gate of the Undead closed, Su Miu, whose body had radiated a holy aura and whose eyes had shone with gray-white light, suddenly went limp and slowly fell.
Electrolux also used remnant souls to restore some of Su Miu's Summoning System magic energy.
Before losing consciousness, Su Miu cast his Summoning System magic again. Passing out here alone would be far too dangerous. He certainly needed someone to protect him.
He had no idea how long he had been unconscious. When he opened his eyes again, he saw a pristine white ceiling, followed by a familiar little girl's face.
"Su Miu, you're awake!"
Ling Ling's delighted voice reached him. Now that he was awake, he felt as though every part of his body was crying out, pain sweeping through him.
"Don't move around. Just focus on recovering."
Ling Ling held him down to keep him from moving and reopening his wounds. Bai Xiuxiu brought over the medical kit, and the little girl took it, lifted his clothes, and began applying medicine.
"That's what you get for trying to play the hero. What was an Intermediate Level One mage doing going so deep into the thick of things? You're lucky you're so hard to kill. I can't believe you survived that."
Ling Ling's voice was plainly resentful. Her words were a little harsh, but Su Miu knew the little girl hid her concern behind a prickly attitude, so he did not mind. What mattered was that he had survived.
"Oh, right. Xiu Xiu, are you all right?"
Su Miu looked at Little Shark, who was beside him wiping down his body. He remembered that she seemed to have suffered a serious injury at the time.
"I'm fine. Senior Bi Ji already treated me."
Bai Xiuxiu shook her head. Although the Three-Eyed Demon Wolf's sharp claws had torn a hole in her back, it had not been a major problem. A Soul Beast's body was naturally tough, and Bi Ji's treatment had healed her.
"That's good. Ow! That hurts, that hurts!"
Once he confirmed that she was unharmed, he relaxed. Just then, a sharp pain made him cry out. He saw Ling Ling puffing out her cheeks angrily as she said:
"You can't even get out of bed, and you still have the energy to worry about other girls?"
"Come on... Ling Ling, Xiu Xiu got hurt because of me. Of course I have to ask how she's doing."
Su Miu felt rather puzzled. Why did he detect a hint of jealousy in those words? After Ling Ling finished applying his medicine, Bai Xiuxiu told him that Little Shark had carried him back.
Along the way, she had encountered Ling Ling, who had brought Tang Yue, two Intermediate Mages, and members of the City Demon Hunting Squad to search for him in a Military Defense Vehicle. According to Bai Xiuxiu, Ling Ling had been frantic at the time, deeply worried about his safety.
