Background / History

Leaving the Star Dou Great Forest

Xiao Wu leaves Da Ming and Er Ming to enter human society, promising to return once she has established herself. At a secluded pool, she encounters Tang San Niang emerging from the water and initially mistakes her for a mermaid. The girls immediately take a liking to each other, although Xiao Wu fears meeting other Soul Masters who might recognize her true identity 13.

Tang Hao identifies her as a transformed soul beast and confronts her nearby guardians. Da Ming asks him to protect her until maturity, offering soul bones in exchange; Tang Hao negotiates for a higher payment. On returning, he offers to adopt Xiao Wu after she says both her parents have died. She accepts enthusiastically upon learning that Tang Yin and Tang San Niang will become her older siblings 14.

Joining the Tang Household

Xiao Wu accompanies the family back to Holy Soul Village and begins adapting to human life. Her constant questions and teasing make the previously quiet household much livelier. Tang Yin teaches her boundaries and entrusts Tang San Niang with teaching her everyday common sense 15 16.

Tang Yin introduces her to the Mysterious Heaven Skill and martial fundamentals. She joins him and Tang San Niang in their first fight against other Soul Masters, helping defeat Huo Wu in a coordinated spar. Huo Wu subsequently becomes a frequent visitor and training partner 16 17 18 21.

Nuoding City and Aura Concealment

After the family moves to Nuoding City, Tang Yin asks Tang San Niang to research a way to hide Xiao Wu’s soul beast aura. Suotuo City and the Journey to Heaven Dou

At the Great Soul Arena, Xiao Wu fights Dai Mubai after he pesters her and insults the Blue Silver Twin Stars. She defeats him with her iron whip and Instantaneous Movement. When Zhao Wuji retaliates with a Soul Saint’s pressure, Tang Yin shields her 33 34.

At the Rose Hotel, Ning Rongrong’s advances toward Tang Yin prompt Xiao Wu to declare herself his future bride. She later tells Tang San Niang that she decided to marry him after he was injured helping her absorb the whale brain 35 38.

During the journey toward Heaven Dou City, Xiao Wu combines with Tang Yin to immobilize and pierce Zhao Wuji using two Martial Soul Fusion Skills. When Zhao Wuji traps Tang Yin with Gravity Compression, she withdraws immediately on his instruction, allowing him to continue fighting without having to protect her 44.

Life in Heaven Dou City

Xiao Wu visits the Strength Clan Forge with Tang Yin and fights Tai Long after he insults her brother. She later objects to Dugu Bo’s demand that Tang Yin marry Dugu Yan, although the engagement proceeds 66 73 74.

During a late-night conversation, she directly confesses that she wants their relationship to become romantic. Tang Yin explains that he regards her as his younger sister and has never intended to cross that boundary. She subsequently reaches rank thirty-nine and continues living with the household; when Tang Yin stays home during Dugu Yan’s soul-ring expedition, Xiao Wu chooses to remain with him 88 91.
