The two of them waited nearly two hours before Old Charlatan finally arrived with a group of mages. The mages behind him included not only those from Quel'Danil's Temple District, but also many members of the Windrunner family's Mage Corps whom Sylvanas had specially transferred over. They talked quietly among themselves as they walked.

When they drew near, Yu Lin Bloodhawk greeted them with a cheeky grin and asked Old Charlatan the same two questions he had asked Sylvanas earlier.

"The test subjects and recording mages can enter the field to absorb fel energy and record the subjects' condition," Old Charlatan said with a calm nod. "Once the Infernal breaks apart, his infernal soul will be at its weakest. Any high elf mage can sever its connection to its anchor in the Twisting Nether."

"If our people enter the Binding Field, won't they be bound too?" Yu Lin Bloodhawk asked, half joking.

"No, no matter how many people go in." Old Charlatan rolled his eyes at him, plainly annoyed, and even more annoyed by his lack of faith in high elf mages. "We have mages controlling the Binding Array, and we're only binding one demon right now. All the array's binding arcane power will be channeled toward the Infernal. There won't be any mistakes that leave our people bound as well."

"So we can go in now?" Yu Lin Bloodhawk asked.

"Yes, but I don't recommend sending everyone in." Old Charlatan nodded. "Aside from the test subjects and recording personnel, no more than twenty additional observers and guards."

Yu Lin Bloodhawk nodded and waved, taking only Shidewa and Xingluoge with him as he followed the test subjects and recorders inside. Sylvanas and Old Charlatan exchanged a glance, then each brought a few people into the Binding Magic Array as well.
