"Erase it? How?" Yu Lin Bloodhawk asked urgently.
Erasing the trace of consciousness Malygos had left in his sea of energy was immensely important to Yu Lin Bloodhawk. He always felt as though that consciousness were a dangerous bomb following him around, ready to blow him to pieces at any moment.
Sylvanas gently twirled the blade of grass between her fingertips and gave him a glance, a half smile on her lips. "Scared?"
Her look made Yu Lin Bloodhawk uneasy. He gave a couple of dry chuckles. "A little!"
Sylvanas laughed. "Being scared won't help. From the moment you dared to absorb Malygos's essence, this outcome was inescapable."
"Why didn't you say so back then?" Yu Lin Bloodhawk asked. "Were you already planning to set me up? You knew that what scared me most was attracting the attention of these world-class heavyweights."
"If you're scared, get stronger!" Sylvanas said with a cold laugh. "Keep hiding, and you'll never run out of dangers to hide from. You have to become strong enough that no danger dares come looking for you. And if it does, crush it to dust."
"I don't have that kind of confidence..." Yu Lin Bloodhawk grumbled, his voice barely audible. "I'm not like you people. Isn't protecting the world the responsibility of big bosses and important figures like you? What does it have to do with me? I just want to stay alive."
But Sylvanas heard him. She shook her head in disappointment. "After all these years, your heart still isn't here! Do Quel'Thalas, the High Elves, and everything else really mean nothing to you?"
"I..." Yu Lin Bloodhawk was at a loss for words.
"I know you've done a great deal for Quel'Thalas and the High Elves... far more than I have, even..." Sylvanas's voice grew subdued.
