Yu Lin Bloodhawk followed her gaze. Beneath that starry sky, invisible threads seemed to drift slowly, weaving a vast net that covered the entire world. He was merely an insect that had blundered into it, his wings still wet with dew that did not belong to this net.

"So..." His throat went dry. "The Blue Dragon King Malygos's source power contains his authority over the laws that protect this world? And that authority is what the Five Dragonflights have never stopped trying to reclaim over these past ten thousand years?"

Sylvanas withdrew her gaze and turned to look at him, moonlight plating her pale cheek with cold silver. "You absorbed Malygos's essence and became entangled in the threads of 'order.' But you aren't a Blue Dragon. Even your heart has never firmly settled in this world. How could this world's order possibly allow you to pry into its authority?"

She paused and traced a finger through the empty air. An exceedingly fine fissure appeared out of nowhere. The night breeze flowing around it froze for an instant, then returned to normal.

"What did you just see?" Sylvanas asked.

"A rift! An emerald-green rift," Yu Lin Bloodhawk said uncertainly. "I could feel what seemed like another world inside it."

"It wasn't another world. That was the Emerald Dream!" Sylvanas said calmly. "I absorbed Ysera's source power and comprehended the laws within her essence, but I erased the will she left behind. So I also possess some authority over the Emerald Dream. Do you remember the Wailing Caverns in Desolace?" she asked suddenly.

"I do!" Yu Lin Bloodhawk nodded.

"I can sense that they're connected to the Emerald Dream," Sylvanas said calmly. "But something is wrong there."

... Yu Lin Bloodhawk fell silent.

Of course something was wrong with the Wailing Caverns!
