"Fewer than a hundred. It's strange. We followed the battle reports to the old battlefields in Alterac and Arathi and searched where they fell, but we couldn't find many of them. Then we checked their burial sites, with the same results. Usually, we only found a handful of lonely souls." Xingluoge took out another Soul Ring. "They're all in this Soul Ring."
"The old battlefields? That's normal. Too much time has passed!" Yu Lin Bloodhawk sighed. "When people in the World of the Living die, their souls are normally guided into the Shadowlands by spirit healers as a matter of course. But... that isn't their only destination. Under special circumstances, they might stay behind or go elsewhere-an unnatural death and an overwhelming obsession, a bound soul, being on the wrong plane, a breach in the veil, magical interception, and all sorts of other reasons. That's how they end up remaining in the World of the Living. The ones we're collecting now are scattered, wandering souls left behind under those special circumstances."
Ever since Yu Lin Bloodhawk entered the Shadowlands and the shadow energy within him resonated with its order, he had learned a great deal about the relationship between Azeroth and the Shadowlands.
"Never mind! We'll take however many we can find!" Yu Lin Bloodhawk sighed. "As long as we do our best." He took the Soul Ring Xingluoge offered, slipped the empty Soul Ring off his own hand and tossed it to Xingluoge, then put the new one on his finger.
"My lord, if there's nothing else you need, we'll head back," Shidewa said.
"Wait until the girl gets here before you leave!" Yu Lin Bloodhawk said. "I'll take you somewhere. There are a few things you should know, too."
"Miss Sylvanas probably won't be here until tonight," Shidewa
