...Grim looked up at Lor'themar.
"I didn't lie to you!" Lor'themar spread his hands. "I'll be honest with you! The overall tactical plan for this battle was his idea, and so was poisoning the arrowheads. We just added a little seasoning and handled serving the dishes."
"I want to see him!" Grim said.
"He doesn't have time right now, either. Perhaps our commander is asking him what sort of dishes your leader likes." Lor'themar smiled. "You're the luckiest of the lot. They probably forgot to serve you the chicken eggs and Raptor eggs. That's why only your Worgs are wounded and unable to move, while the rest of you are still unharmed."
Grim fell silent.
"But it looks as though they've remembered you now. See? Here come the servers." Lor'themar pointed at the First Frostwolf Clan Squadron. "Their dishes pack a much stronger flavor than this mild little dish of mine. Most people can't stomach them."
Grim could tell that these newly arrived Elf Rangers riding white frost wolves were far stronger than the Elf Rangers who had been toying with them earlier. If they still had their mounts, he would have charged without hesitation. But now...he sighed and dropped his axe.
The other Orcs exchanged glances. Then weapons began falling to the ground with a steady series of thuds.
That evening, in Area 7.
"The Gryphon Riders have finished their air raids!" the Intelligence Officer reported beside Sylvanas's hammock.
"Mm." Sylvanas did not even stir her eyelids.
"All the Frostwolf Clan squadrons have arrived except the 1st Frostwolf Clan Squadron," the Intelligence Officer continued.
"Mm." Sylvanas gave another nasal murmur, without the slightest ripple of reaction.
"We used up all the chicken eggs in today's final wave of air raids," the Intelligence Officer added.
"What about the Raptor eggs?"
