The Lyk Brothers were now the biggest celebrities in the Hinterlands. Not only did the humans welcome them, but even the Trolls wanted them to visit their territories, whether they were Vilebranch Trolls or Witherbark Trolls.

The Hinterlands Trolls who had visited Harbor Plain were especially envious of the humans living in the villages when they saw cartload after cartload of grain at harvest time. Those humans had more food than they could eat and had to sell most of it to the City Lord, while their own tribes still had to come here to work just to fill their bellies.

When they learned that such abundant harvests would have been impossible without the three strange vehicles belonging to the Lyk Brothers and their fellow Goblins, the Trolls began looking at those Goblins as enormous walking granaries.

As a result, the Lyk Brothers and their fellow Goblins were in their element in the Hinterlands, immensely pleased with themselves. When they heard that the City Lord had summoned them, their extraordinary nose for gold immediately told them that more money was about to fall into their laps. The brothers hurriedly handed their work over to the other Goblins and came scurrying over.

After hearing everyone out, the Lyk Brothers were both delighted and troubled.

As it turned out, a workshop this large was beyond what the brothers and their small band of Goblins could build. They could design it, but much of the equipment would still have to be purchased from the Goblin Cartel.

They also lacked the manpower to keep production running and would need to recruit more Goblins. After all, if the machines broke down in the future, the Elves would not be able to repair them. They would still have to wait for the Goblins to do it.
