Shidewa watched the Death Knights race away, silently hoping that Uther would understand his intentions.
He ordered his troops to scatter large quantities of poisoned caltrops along the passage through which Uther and the Death Knights had entered, completely sealing off the ambush zone. All the while, he stared intently at the low rise behind which Uther and the Death Knights had disappeared, his expression tense.
The Death Knights pursued Uther's Paladins for another kilometer, following the tracks left by Uther and the Silver Hand Paladins until they reached the foot of a slope.
Along the skyline above the slope, mounted Paladins slowly appeared one after another. Golden holy light flashed continuously among the Paladins on the crest; they were clearly casting buff magic on themselves.
"For the Alliance!"
Suddenly, Uther raised his sword atop the slope and shouted.
"For the Alliance!" The Paladins raised their swords together and answered with a thunderous roar.
"Kill!" Uther pointed his sword forward and led the charge down the slope toward the Death Knights.
"Kill!" the Paladins shouted in unison.
In an instant, nearly two hundred Silver Hand Paladins swept down from the crest like an autumn wind scattering fallen leaves, using the slope's momentum to charge straight at the Death Knights below.
Caught off guard by the sudden reversal, the pursuing Death Knights could only scramble to meet the attack.
The Silver Hand Paladins thundered down from the crest, harnessing their warhorses' strength. Like a raging gale, they swept forward amid the thunder of hooves, launching a devastating frontal charge against the roughly two hundred Death Knights.
In the blink of an eye, the two powerful cavalry forces, composed entirely of Class Practitioners, collided head-on.
Although Shidewa and Xinluoge were more than a kilometer away, watching from afar still left them shaken.
