The children stayed for a while, then wandered off when they grew bored. In the end, only the elderly villagers remained, which suited Yu Lin Bloodhawk perfectly. He began chatting with them about everyday life, gradually steering the conversation toward the High Elves who had recently arrived with the Quel'Thalas Migration.

Through their conversation, Yu Lin Bloodhawk slowly came to understand that, although these newly arrived High Elves had various reasons for not choosing a territory to settle in, they still had only a hazy understanding of why they had been moved to the Hinterlands without any clear explanation as part of the Quel'Thalas Migration.

The reason these recent arrivals from Quel'Thalas were having some trouble adjusting was that they were far from the Sunwell. They were no longer within the reach of its ley lines, and the magical energy they could draw upon each day had diminished. That was why they felt somewhat uncomfortable.

But as long as the Sunwell existed, High Elves could sense it to some degree no matter where they were. The only difference was whether that sensation was strong or weak.

These High Elves had been brought from Quel'Thalas to the Hinterlands without really understanding what was happening, so some initial discomfort was inevitable. But these elven commoners all came from the southern border of Quel'Thalas. Of everyone in the Kingdom of Quel'Thalas, they lived farthest from the Sunwell, and their dependence on it was nowhere near as great as that of the northern residents.

The elderly villagers told Yu Lin Bloodhawk that this was only a minor problem. They simply needed to live in the Hinterlands for a while. Wherever High Elves were, their connection to the Sunwell would never be severed. As long as it existed, they would be able to sense it.
