Yuanfang used his unusual domain to protect Riko Amanai, learn to revive the dead, and later help train and support Jujutsu High’s students. After studying how his technique could remove cursed energy from Curtains, he appeared as Yuji Itadori let Sukuna take control for five seconds.

• Riko Amanai and Misato Kuroi took the unconscious Yuanfang home, where he awakened in a child’s body and gradually discovered his unusual domain and cursed technique.
• Yuanfang fought and defeated a powerful Cursed Spirit, then revived a kitten and joined Riko, Gojo, and Geto on a trip to Okinawa before Toji Fushiguro attacked them.
• After Toji shot Riko, Yuanfang preserved her body and later brought Hana Kurusu home, while explaining that he hoped to gather enough cursed energy to revive Riko.
• Yuanfang told Yuki Tsukumo and Suguru Geto that his domain stopped cursed energy and techniques within its range, but Geto later chose to exterminate non-sorcerers and left.
• Yuanfang helped Yuta Okkotsu and Maki Zenin on missions, fought Mei Mei’s Worm Cursed Spirit, and declined Suguru Geto’s invitation to join his cause.
• Yuanfang and Maki fought Cursed Spirits in Kyoto during Geto’s attack, and Yuanfang later trained with Yuta until Yuta mastered his strength and graduated.
• Yuanfang helped Yuki Tsukumo test Curtains by absorbing stored cursed energy, while Yuki proposed expanding the effort and having his technique inherited by children.
• Yuji Itadori swallowed Sukuna’s Finger and unexpectedly regained control, and Yuanfang asked him to let Sukuna take over for five seconds.

Yuanfang trained and protected the first-years while clashing with Mahito and surviving several traps. During the Goodwill Event, he helped Mai reconsider her view of Maki, then confronted Hanami with Panda and Kugisaki.

• Yuanfang fought Sukuna after Sukuna took control of Yuji Itadori, then helped Satoru Gojo test Yuji and secure his protection.
• Yuanfang fought Mahito, trained the students, and rescued Nobara Kugisaki during her first curse mission.
• At the detention center, Yuanfang battled cursed spirits while Sukuna took control of Yuji, removed his own heart, and fought Yuanfang before Yuji regained control and died.
• Yuanfang awakened Reverse Cursed Technique after Mahito blasted him with C4, then helped Yuji and Kento Nanami protect Junpei and bring him to Jujutsu High.
• Yuki Tsukumo drugged Yuanfang at a hotel, but Mei Mei intervened and took him away in exchange for his help on a mission.
• At the Goodwill Event, Yuanfang helped direct the Tokyo team, while Mai questioned her assumptions about Maki after Yuanfang explained Maki’s reasons for growing stronger.
• Yuanfang survived Hanami’s C4 blast, then joined Panda and Kugisaki in attacking her and identified her eye roots as her weakness.
