Chiya looked at the white-scaled serpent mere inches away, a mocking smile curling his lips.
Orochimaru wasted no words. The white-scaled serpent opened its fang-filled maw and bit into Chiya's neck. Cold, viscous spiritual energy flooded frantically into Chiya's brain through the bite.

The hoarse voice echoed through the air.
Chiya's body suddenly stiffened. His Six-Tomoe Rinnegan stopped rotating, and his eyes lost focus. The snakes coiled around him immediately tightened, binding him into a massive ball of serpents.
In the distance, Tsunade climbed out of the crater, covered in blood and gasping for breath.
Jiraiya formed hand seals with one hand, the markings of Sage Mode on his face glowing faintly.
"Orochimaru did it!" Jiraiya shouted. "Tsunade! Follow the plan!"
The allied shinobi stared in disbelief. They had thought the three each had their own agenda, with Orochimaru sneaking in to steal the kill. Instead, it had all been a setup.
Without hesitation, Tsunade bit her finger and slammed her palm onto the ground.

A great cloud of white smoke rose, and several enormous divisions of Katsuyu appeared, swiftly crawling toward the ball of snakes containing Chiya. They spat out copious amounts of sticky, paralyzing acid. Rather than corroding Chiya, it formed a thick sealing membrane that tightly enveloped his body.
Jiraiya leaped in front of the snake ball, his hands flashing through seals. He hurled dozens of Explosive Tags and sealing talismans, attaching them all around it.
