Power Progression

Stage / Realm / Level Chapter Notes
Ordinary Uchiha chūnin 1 Begins with mediocre talent and no awakened Sharingan.
Early Kage Level; Ryūjin Jakka in Shikai 1 The beginner gift pack grants Spiritual Pressure Conversion, Ryūjin Jakka, and a one-hour Swordsmanship Master Trial Card.
Mangekyō Sharingan 2 Plunders Itachi’s complete ocular power, a trace of Asura Chakra, Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susanoo with the Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror. Awakens his own Mangekyō pattern without its usual blinding side effects.
Armored Susanoo; increased sword compatibility 3 His skeletal Susanoo develops flesh and armor. The system records a 1% increase in Ryūjin Jakka compatibility from the fear he generates.
Advanced toxin resistance; enhanced mental power 4 Killing Torune and Fū grants Advanced Venomous Insect Resistance, Intermediate Mental Power Enhancement, and an additional 5,000 chakra reserves.
Flame Barrier: Explosive Flame Formation 6 Spends all 10,000 available kill points on Ryūjin Jakka to unlock the technique while confronting Danzo’s sealing attack.
Perfect Wood Release Cells; Kotoamatsukami 7 Danzo’s defeat grants restorative Wood Release Cells, Kotoamatsukami, and grandmaster Wind Release. The cells heal his accumulated strain and balance his ocular power.
Super Kage Level — early stage 8 The convergence of Mangekyō power and Wood Release Cells breaks his physical limits and raises his chakra reserves. Reiatsu and chakra achieve perfect fusion.
Third-stage Susanoo 9 Explicitly manifests the rib cage, muscle, and armor of a third-stage Susanoo against Hiruzen.
Seven chakra natures; Ryūjin Jakka at 40% fusion 15 Hiruzen’s death grants mastery of all seven nature transformations, thousands of ninjutsu, Enma, and increased sword fusion.
Temporary Zanka no Tachi prototype 21 Burns kill points to exceed Ryūjin Jakka’s normal unlock level. The compressed-heat strike erases Obito’s right arm and burns through space, but heavily strains Chiya.
Beginner space-time aptitude 21 23 Rewards for defeating Obito sharpen his spatial perception and open a future Space Flash Step evolution path. Receives one Kamui Fragment, recorded as 1/3 of a complete technique.
Complete Indra Chakra awakening 24 Claims a clan-leader reward in the Naka Shrine basement, alongside the Uchiha Gunbai and hand-seal-free Majestic Destroyer Flame.
Perfect Susanoo 29 Uses a Wood Release-empowered Perfect Susanoo with a seventy-to-eighty-meter Soul-Cutting Great Blade infused with Ryūjin Jakka’s essence.
Upgraded Spiritual Pressure Intimidation 32 The Harbinger of Chaos achievement upgrades his passive intimidation so that his presence alone can cause weaker people to suffer mental breakdowns.
System-enhanced physique 34 35 Spends his remaining kill points on bodily reinforcement. Subsequently demonstrates Blazing Sword, a forty-meter blade of condensed flame.
Expanded Soul Reaper techniques 36 An SSS-rank mission settlement grants 2,274,000 kill points, Flash Step rewards, complete Kidō incantations, and advanced reiatsu materialization. His reiatsu also unlocks chantless casting without reduced power.
Zanka no Tachi: North — Tenchi Kaijin, imitation 43 44 Unlocks a second prototype Bankai technique during Chibaku Tensei and uses concentrated heat to break through the artificial moon.
Rinnegan and Uzumaki Sage Body acquired 46 Completing Nagato’s plunder grants his Rinnegan, Uzumaki Sage Body, and Demonic Statue of the Outer Path contract.
Complete Sage Body fusion 49 Chakra recovery increases by 1,000%; self-healing surpasses the Strength of a Hundred Technique, lifespan exceeds human limits, and hidden prototype-Bankai injuries disappear.
Straight-Tomoe Six-Tomoe Rinnegan 49 Fuses Nagato’s Rinnegan with his Mangekyō and gathered Indra–Asura powers. Gains ocular power beyond Nagato’s and briefly manifests one Limbo shadow.
Ryūjin Jakka at 70%; Zanjitsu Gokui 49 Invests 500,000 kill points to unlock Zanka no Tachi, West. Its fifteen-million-degree mantle provides contact-based offense and defense, with an estimated five-minute duration at his current strength.

Background / History

Chiya transmigrates into the body of an unremarkable Uchiha chūnin during the clan’s massacre. His host’s parents died in the Third Shinobi World War, and he has neither exceptional talent nor an awakened Sharingan. Anbu and Root have sealed the compound, leaving him unable to flee the approaching killers 1.

His resentment toward Konoha’s leadership and Itachi triggers the Kill and Plunder System. Its beginner rewards transform him from a trapped survivor into a Kage-level combatant, allowing him to confront Itachi with Ryūjin Jakka 1.

Appearance

Chiya has long black hair and a sharply defined profile. His appearance changes chiefly through his evolving eyes and clothing: he initially wears Uchiha attire, later adopting the black robe with red clouds associated with Akatsuki leadership 24 31 34 49.

  • Mangekyō Sharingan: A unique intricate pattern formed after plundering Itachi’s ocular power 2.
  • Asymmetric ocular changes: After absorbing Shisui’s power, his right eye becomes a deeper red while his left retains its original Mangekyō pattern 8.
  • Six-Tomoe Rinnegan: Deep-purple eyes with concentric ripples and retained black tomoe markings 49.
  • Regenerated skin: Wood Release Cells remove his old sword calluses and leave his skin clearer, tougher, and deceptively soft 7.
  • Signature battlefield appearance: Carries a heavy katana and is frequently surrounded by crimson or golden flames 1 4.

Personality

Chiya rejects the Will of Fire as a justification for political purges and treats strength as the only reliable authority. His ambition expands from surviving the massacre and punishing Konoha’s leaders to abolishing the Five Great Nations and concentrating all power in himself. He defines peace as an order in which nobody dares wage war while he remains alive 1 8 46.

He is openly cruel and enjoys humiliating opponents. He repeatedly kills Danzo through Izanagi’s revivals, relishes Root’s despair, and views Sasuke and Izumi as useful “crops” rather than people to protect for their own sake 3 5 24 31.

His arrogance also serves a tactical purpose. Against Obito, he targets the masked man’s identity and grief to provoke reckless attacks, knowing that Kamui requires him to become tangible when attacking 18 19.

Chiya has little interest in routine administration. He delegates Konoha’s daily affairs to a council and Flame Emperor City’s management to Konan, preserving final authority while seeking stronger opponents and further territory 24 25 48.

Abilities & Skills

Kill and Plunder System

The system lets Chiya acquire enemies’ bloodline abilities, chakra, ninjutsu knowledge, and special physiques, while awarding points that can fund further upgrades 1.

  • Plunder: Transfers powers and accumulated expertise directly to him, including Itachi’s ocular techniques and Hiruzen’s lifetime of ninjutsu experience 2 15.
  • Point expenditure: Strengthens his body and increases Ryūjin Jakka’s unlock progress 6 34 49.
  • Nonfatal extraction: Obito’s severed arm and spatial fragments yield rewards even though Obito survives 21.
  • Mission and achievement rewards: Destruction, fear, and political upheaval contribute to settlements and passive upgrades 3 32 36.

Ryūjin Jakka

Chiya’s principal weapon is a fire-type Zanpakutō capable of destroying targets through extraordinary heat. He combines its flames with chakra constructs, swordsmanship, and concentrated reiatsu 1 2 43.

Technique Demonstrated use
Torch Vaporizes bounty hunters and burns a hundred-meter corridor through a forest 33.
Flame Hell Saturates a battlefield with fire; its full-coverage form pressures Obito despite Kamui 20 21.
Flame Barrier Encloses Danzo in a sealed furnace 6.
Shiranui Style Produces crossing whirlwinds of flame that destroy Obito’s Wood Release thorns 19.
Blazing Sword Condenses flame into a forty-meter greatsword and annihilates a five-hundred-ninja advance force 35.
All-Directions Burst Burns the Animal Path’s summoned beasts to charcoal 40.
Zanka no Tachi prototype Compresses flame, heat, and reiatsu into the sword’s tip; erases Obito’s arm and cuts through space 21.
North: Tenchi Kaijin, imitation Releases concentrated energy through Chibaku Tensei’s rocky sphere 44.
West: Zanjitsu Gokui Coats Chiya in a fifteen-million-degree mantle that destroys material on contact 49.
  • Prototype limitation: The first Zanka no Tachi imitation causes substantial strain and requires delicate control; a mistake could destroy the blade itself 21.
  • Zanjitsu Gokui limitation: Even after Sage Body fusion, maintaining the mantle is an enormous burden. Chiya estimates a five-minute operating window 49.

Reiatsu and Soul Combat

Chiya wields spiritual pressure as a power distinct from chakra. His Soul Reaper abilities allow him to resist soul extraction and attack spiritual entities directly 13 14.

  • Reiatsu Slash: Targets spiritual bodies and later cleaves through Super Shinra Tensei’s repulsive field 14 43.
  • Heat Affection: A self-created pressure-and-heat field extending roughly one hundred meters; approaching insects combust without visible flame 3.
  • Fire Rejection: Converts reiatsu into an expanding ring of heat that destroys Hiruzen’s combined elemental attack 11.
  • Mental defense: A Yamanaka intruder encounters Ryūjin Jakka’s overwhelming blade-spirit presence and suffers catastrophic backlash 3.
  • Advanced materialization: Forms aerial footholds and a defensive armor-like Hierro Prototype 36.
  • Absorption counter: Ryūjin Jakka’s destructive reiatsu overwhelms the Preta Path’s chakra-absorption mechanism 40 41.

Ocular Techniques

Chiya’s eyes progress from an unawakened state to Mangekyō Sharingan and finally a Straight-Tomoe Six-Tomoe Rinnegan 1 2 49.

  • Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi: Acquired through Itachi’s plunder 2.
  • Susanoo: Develops from a red skeletal frame into an armored and eventually Perfect Susanoo. Its weapons can incorporate Ryūjin Jakka’s flames and soul-cutting properties 2 3 29.
  • Kotoamatsukami: Alters another person’s will at a large ocular-power cost, with a greatly reduced cooldown. He uses its “Light” application to compel a Root ninja to expose Danzo’s records 7 10.
  • Rinnegan techniques: Identifies access to Shinra Tensei, Banshō Ten’in, and Chibaku Tensei after fusion 49.
  • Limbo: Border Jail: Briefly manifests one shadow; its short duration limits sustained use 49.
  • Rinnegan limit: His eyes remain below the nine-tomoe Rinne Sharingan because he lacks Ten-Tails chakra 49.

Wood Release and Sage Physique

Perfect Wood Release Cells supply healing, increased chakra, and stabilization of his Mangekyō. The later Uzumaki Sage Body fusion deepens the balance between his spiritual and physical powers 7 49.

  • Wood Release restraint: Binds Hiruzen’s Adamantine Staff with roots and creates crosses for the advisors’ execution 11 27.
  • Forest World’s Nativity: Transforms the scorched battlefield into an erupting forest 12.
  • Regeneration: Removes combat exhaustion and ocular strain after Danzo’s defeat, then repairs hidden Bankai injuries during Sage Body fusion 7 49.
  • Enhanced recovery: Complete Sage Body fusion raises chakra recovery by 1,000% and self-healing beyond the Strength of a Hundred Technique 49.
  • Advanced insect-toxin resistance: Automatically purifies insect toxins through the heat at his body’s surface 4.

Flash Step and Kidō

Flash Step provides high-speed movement through concentrated reiatsu rather than ordinary chakra-based movement. Kidō supplies ranged attacks and restraints that do not depend on ninjutsu 36 38.

  • Flash Step: Utsusemi: Leaves clothing as a decoy to evade Obito’s attempted grab 20.
  • Flash Step: Senka: Positions him above the Asura Path for a rapid sword attack 40.
  • Hadō #33, Sōkatsui: Blasts a distant hill into a crater 36.
  • Hadō #58, Tenran: Opens a rainless path through Amegakure’s storm 38.
  • Dankū: Blocks missiles and reinforces his underground training chamber 40 49.
  • Rikujōkōrō: Immobilizes Konan during his confrontation with Nagato 45.
  • Incantation Abandonment: Allows chantless Kidō casting without loss of power 36.
  • Spatial potential: Beginner space-time aptitude permits a future Space Flash Step path; it is not yet documented as a completed technique when awarded 23.

Ninjutsu Mastery

Plundering Danzo and Hiruzen gives Chiya expert control over wind and subsequently all seven chakra nature transformations 7 15.

  • Grandmaster Wind Release: Produces a sharp fingertip vortex without hand seals or preparation 7.
  • Combined elements: Casually creates purple plasma by combining lightning and water 15.
  • Majestic Destroyer Flame: Receives a hand-seal-free version among his Uchiha clan-leader rewards 24.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Ryūjin Jakka — Primary Zanpakutō, initially supplied in Shikai by the system 1.

He plans to harvest Sasuke’s future Mangekyō eyes to pursue the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan 22 24 33.
  • Uchiha Izumi — Massacre survivor whom Chiya spares and coerces into becoming his maid and tool. He values her potential Mangekyō awakening and usefulness in developing Sasuke 31 33.
  • Kakashi Hatake — Described as Chiya’s former Anbu senior. Chiya orders him to strengthen Sasuke and supplies an Uchiha Fire Release scroll 24 31.
  • Hyuga Hiashi — Subordinate entrusted with security and the Military Police Force. His support is tied partly to a plan to break the Caged Bird Seal 16 25.

  • Uchiha Itachi — Enemy condemned for slaughtering his family and clan. Chiya beheads him and plunders his eyes and techniques 1 2.
  • Shimura Danzo — Enemy whose stolen Sharingan and experiments make him a valuable plunder target. Chiya repeatedly kills him through Izanagi before destroying him and Root 4 5 7.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi — Opposing Hokage whose authority Chiya undermines through Root’s records, then defeats and kills 10 15.
  • Obito Uchiha — Enemy whose Akatsuki invitation Chiya rejects. Their confrontation ends with Obito fleeing after the loss of his right arm and damage to his soul 18 21.
  • Nagato — Rival claimant to godhood and ideological opponent. Chiya defeats his Six Paths, rejects his model of peace, and kills him for his powers 40 45 46.
  • Konan — Defeated enemy turned subordinate. After stopping her suicide attempt, Chiya appoints her chief treasurer and acting administrator of Flame Emperor City 45 48.

Story Role / Major Arcs

Uchiha Massacre and Destruction of Root

Chiya interrupts his intended death during the massacre by drawing Ryūjin Jakka against Itachi. After killing and plundering him, he turns on the Root operatives surrounding the compound and attacks Danzo’s underground base 1 2 3.

He kills Torune and Fū, destroys Danzo’s Baku summon, and exhausts Danzo’s Izanagi revivals. Danzo’s final sealing attempt fails, and the ensuing plunder gives Chiya the physical foundation needed to reach Super Kage Level 4 5 7 8.

Overthrow of Konoha’s Leadership

Chiya exposes Root’s records before Konoha’s clan heads, implicating the old leadership in massacres, infant experiments, and the Uchiha’s isolation. Hiruzen attacks him but cannot overcome his Susanoo, heat techniques, Wood Release, or resistance to the Reaper Death Seal. Chiya kills him and demands acceptance of Uchiha rule 10 11 12 13 15.

Rather than become Fifth Hokage, Chiya establishes a Supreme Council with himself as final authority. He executes Koharu and Homura, crushes resistance, destroys Hokage Rock, and burns the Hokage Building, declaring that Konoha will have no more Hokage 25 27 29 30 31.

Obito’s Defeat and Departure from Konoha

Chiya rejects Obito’s invitation to Akatsuki and attacks the weaknesses of his Kamui-based fighting style. A temporary Zanka no Tachi prototype forces Obito to retreat and provides Chiya with his first space-time rewards 18 20 21.

He then takes Sasuke and Izumi with him, leaving Konoha’s reconstruction to its surviving leadership. On the road, he vaporizes bounty hunters and annihilates a five-hundred-ninja Kumogakure–Iwagakure advance force before proceeding toward Amegakure 33 34 35.

Conquest of Amegakure

Chiya enters Amegakure, disrupts Nagato’s rain surveillance, and kills the Rain ninja sent against him. He defeats Konan and the Six Paths of Pain, cuts through Super Shinra Tensei, and escapes Chibaku Tensei with his newly unlocked North prototype 38 39 41 43 44.

After locating Nagato’s true body, he prevents Rinne Rebirth and completes the plunder of Nagato’s eyes, physique, and statue contract. He then obtains Konan’s submission, takes control of Akatsuki’s assets, and renames Amegakure Flame Emperor City 45 46 48.

Preparations for World Conquest

Chiya invites the Five Kage to a peace summit under threat of invasion. During three days of seclusion, he completes Sage Body fusion, awakens his Six-Tomoe Rinnegan, and raises Ryūjin Jakka’s unlock level to 70% 48 49.

He orders Sasuke and Konan to bring troops to the Land of Iron, dismissing its neutrality as protection against his campaign. In Flame Emperor City, he also disperses the longstanding rain clouds with a trace of Zanka no Tachi’s power, visibly demonstrating his control over the conquered territory 49 50.
