"What are you looking for?" Zhao Xun asked, following up on the March Hare's words.
"Um... what am I looking for... what was it again?" The March Hare scratched his long ears in distress, looking somewhat bewildered, as though he had yet to fully wake up.
Zhao Xun did not rush him and waited patiently.
"Ah! I remember!" The March Hare slapped his head. "I'm looking for my pocket watch! My pocket watch is missing!"
He looked up at Zhao Xun and asked expectantly, "Can you help me find my pocket watch?"
Zhao Xun met the March Hare's gaze but did not answer immediately.
Clearly, this was the March Hare's quest being triggered.
Judging by the task itself, there did not seem to be any danger.
Finding the pocket watch, however, might not be easy.
"Where should I look?" Zhao Xun asked. "Not throughout the entire forest, I hope?"
If it meant searching the entire forest, there was practically no hope of finding it. He might as well abandon the quest outright.
"Of course not!" The March Hare tilted his head at Zhao Xun and chuckled. "My pocket watch must have been lost somewhere I spend a lot of time!"
Zhao Xun recalled the general outline of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and remembered that the March Hare usually stayed at a long table in the forest, where he drank tea with the Mad Hatter and the Dormouse.
That made the search area quite small.
"All right, I'll help you look," Zhao Xun agreed.
The March Hare immediately brightened. He headed behind the large tree and urged Zhao Xun, "Then hurry and follow me!"
Without hesitation, Zhao Xun strode after him.
After rounding the thick tree and walking about ten meters farther in, they reached a clearing.
