The monster whose limbs were made of vines was the first to eagerly answer the Scale Monster's call. It immediately stretched out its limbs, sending long vines toward Zhao Xun and forming several loops around him.
Just as the vines were about to wrap around Zhao Xun's body, a small fire serpent suddenly appeared. With a single bite, it devoured all the vines on the second floor that were trying to approach him.
The vine monster screamed repeatedly in pain.
But the fire serpent did not stop. It raced along the vines and soon drew close to the vine monster's main body.
Seeing the danger, the vine monster hurriedly severed both its own arms and kept retreating, barely escaping before the fire serpent could touch it.
"Didn't you say he'd already reached his limit?" the vine monster demanded loudly.
The Scale Monster was a little rattled, but after hearing the vine monster's challenge, he forced himself to respond calmly. "Even if he still has some strength left, he can't have many uses of his abilities remaining! Otherwise, he wouldn't run away after roughly the same amount of time every time! He only saved a few uses of his abilities to deal with situations like this."
Then he turned toward the other seven monsters with restraining abilities. "There are so many of us. We can definitely wear him down!"
The monster whose hair resembled rubber bands thought the Scale Monster had a point. It charged out, trying to bind Zhao Xun with its rubber bands.
As it ran toward Zhao Xun, it called to the other monsters, "Don't be afraid, brothers! Victory is within reach."
After listening to their entire exchange, Zhao Xun smiled. "So you're counting on me running out of power."
