Zhao Xun stood outside the Palace gates, waiting for the three groups of Rabbit Soldiers to assemble.
The Rabbit Officers had a decent amount of influence. It took them half an hour to gather all their respective troops.
Holding the scepter, Zhao Xun told the Rabbit Soldiers, "The King has been killed by the Princess, who has gone berserk. She is still hunting down the other nobles, and the Royal Palace is now in complete chaos."
At those words, the soldiers who had not yet heard the news began whispering among themselves, shock written across every rabbit face.
"The King realized that no rabbit was capable of taking charge, so before he died, he wrote a decree passing the throne to me and making me King." As Zhao Xun spoke, he swept his gaze across the crowd. "I am now mobilizing all our forces to restore order and resolve this chaos. You will all obey the scepter holder's commands unconditionally, correct?"
He raised the Emerald Scepter in his hand, making sure every rabbit present could see it clearly.
"Yes!" The reply was perfectly synchronized, without the slightest hesitation.
Zhao Xun was very satisfied.
He issued his first order. "Spread out across the Royal Palace and find the remaining soldiers from the other two groups. Inform them of the current situation. For those who recognize me as the new King, decide among yourselves which group they will join. Kill anyone unwilling to cooperate. Do not miss a single one."
"Yes!" Once again, the reply came promptly and in perfect unison, amply demonstrating their obedience.
Zhao Xun issued his second order. "Every potential threat must be dealt with before dawn. Gather here after daybreak."
"Yes!" Their booming voices rang through the sky.
Zhao Xun waved a hand. "Move out."
