We walked through ten miles of wasteland.
Slowly climb up a mountain peak.
Guan Liujue led the way, followed slowly by a group of doctors in white coats.
The strong man in the white coat named Lu Guang walked with heavy steps, crushing any pebbles that accidentally rolled to the ground under his feet into dust.
Guan Liujue's expression was somewhat blank, and also somewhat fearful. He kept looking back as he walked, the consciousness translation device above his head slowly flashing. "Where do you come from? What are you?"
The word "things" was not Guan Liujue's original intention; it was just that he couldn't describe the group of ancestral friends who had descended from the sky before him. Also, because of his blurred understanding, the device automatically translated his words as "What are you?"
Upon hearing this, Lu Guang's face immediately turned angry. He clenched his fist and was about to step forward to reprimand Guan Liujue.
The gray-haired director of the Ring Research Institute coughed lightly.
Lu Guang paused slightly, suppressing his anger.
The dean shook his head slightly, revealing an expression of 'difficulty in teaching future generations'. He looked at Lu Guang, who was a full 1.9 meters tall, and was the third generation of students during his tenure.
Lu Guang, this young man, is tall, strong, has special abilities, and has a fiery temper.
He is a Level 4 staff member in the field operations team of the Ring Research Institute.
In the past few years, he has injured and maimed countless people, so we have to keep a close eye on him at all times, like taming a wild wolf.
The dean slowly stepped forward, looked at Guan Liujue, and revealed a kind smile. "We are called the Ring Research Institute. As for where we come from... that's not easy to explain. I can think of it as, what is the 'starting point' of our research institute?"
Immediately.
The dean looked up and surveyed the entire sky, then slowly said, "When you can travel endlessly through time, you'll find that 'starting point' is nothing but a false term."
Guan Liujue listened with some ambiguity.
No matter how the consciousness machine in his head translated, he still couldn't understand the meaning behind the dean's words.
Then, Guan Liujue looked at the kind-faced dean and asked, "What is your name?"
"Bo You."
You can call me Bo You.
The old man smiled and said, "'Bo' means vast, and 'you' means friends. ' Bo You' means to make friends all over the world, or rather, all friends within the timeline."
Guan Liujue nodded; he understood. "Hello, Dean Bo You, may I ask what 'Dean' means?"
Lu Guang, standing behind him, clenched his fists so tightly they cracked.
The old man chuckled, a hint of helplessness in his voice. "Captain Guan Liujue, I wonder how much further we have to go before we reach our destination."
Guan Liujue gazed at the hillside. "Soon."
The elderly man in the white coat nodded slightly, politely saying, "Thank you for your hard work."
As the group walked, they gradually climbed to a gentle hilltop.
Some broken rocks could already be seen on the ground, and the further we went, the more charred traces we could see.
After walking nearly a kilometer further, a long trench could be seen plowed into the ground. The trench was 20 meters wide and was getting deeper and deeper, with the soil on both sides scorched black.
The dean smiled broadly.
Guan Liujue pointed ahead and said, "Seven nights ago, a huge fireball in the sky illuminated the entire ground. Then, after a tremendous sound, the fireball fell in front of us. At the time, we thought it was the wrath of the gods."
The dean chuckled, "I've gotten used to it; the same thing happens every 635 years."
A massive sinkhole came into view.
The surrounding soil was struck by the enormous impact, rolled up and piled up, forming a 'wall' that was more than ten meters high.
The old man turned around and said, "Lu Guang, prepare to move it."
"Yes."
Lu Guang raised his arm, and a virtual screen appeared, his fingers moving rapidly across it.
Supported by his entourage, the elderly dean slowly climbed the earthen slope, looking down at the enormous sinkhole.
Looking around, the sinkhole is at least 3 kilometers in diameter and at least 50 meters deep. The rocks have been melted and the soil has been baked black.
A mountain breeze blew from afar, ruffling the old man's white coat. His facial muscles trembled slightly, and his Pupil suddenly contracted. He raised his hand and pointed to the huge pit.
"Fall from the sky..."
"Where's the meteorite?!"
But the enormous sinkhole was completely empty.
Cough cough cough...
The old man began to cough violently, and the man in the white coat immediately stepped forward, took out various unidentified pills, and helped the old man take them.
The old man's expression softened slightly, but his lips still trembled slightly. "There should have been a meteorite weighing 112.3 tons here. We've taken it away dozens of times, dozens of times. Why is it gone now?"
"That's not right."
But Guan Liujue scratched his head in a daze, "Seven nights ago, a huge fireball in the sky illuminated the entire ground, and then after a huge sound, the fireball fell here. At the time, we thought it was the wrath of the gods."
Guan Liujue repeated his memory once more.
However, the director of the Ring Research Institute had regained some composure. "In this era, without the corresponding technology, no one can move the meteorite away within seven days."
Immediately.
He looked at Guan Liujue, his eyes already sharp. "Go and investigate. Find out exactly what happened in the past seven days!"
The Qin Yiguan have left the Qin Dynasty.
Heading east, Jiang Yizhou followed leisurely, seemingly looking for something interesting to do.
Even now, those Qin Yiguan can still feel the sheer disbelief within them. "I can actually walk away from the Qin Dynasty, and I'm heading towards the ancient times of 1000 years ago."
Jiang Yizhou coughed lightly, "To correct you, it's the 'ancient' era. You just missed a free point."
"Oh..."
"OK."
Qin Yiguan replied to this genuine history teacher and continued to ponder on his own.
If one day I were to describe this to the people in the city, would they think I'm crazy?
Are they blind?
Do I look like I'm sick?
I'm not sick.
The next moment, Qin Yiguan asked playfully, "If we travel through time by walking, what would the specific time scale be? What if I take a step too big and end up in the year 1001, or walk for an extra month, seven extra days, or something like that?"
