(There was far too much content in Stellaris, and many astral rifts, archaeological sites, and anomalies still hadn't been written about, so I could only pick and choose. Lately, I've been trying to weave a large number of event storylines together, which should make things much more exciting.)
Fierce winds howled, sending terrifying echoes through space.
Electricity that had practically taken solid form rampaged through the systems. Azure lightning encircled the stars, dyeing the systems blue.
Lightning raced along, forming a vast ocean that swept from one system to another.
Boundless electrical light formed a howling storm that engulfed more than a dozen systems. Countless celestial bodies trembled beneath the lightning, as though before a divine miracle.
It swept past stars, blew through atmospheres, and danced within the dark clouds of planets-energy, visible and invisible alike, raced unchecked.
Stars twinkled, their radiance obscured by the lightning. Artificial starbases shuddered endlessly in their orbits under the storm's onslaught.
Energy surged, yet the precision machinery remained entirely unscathed. Even with their power supplies shut off, energy from the storm poured in continuously from every direction, keeping the machines running.
Yet creatures of flesh and blood had no choice but to hide inside insulated protective suits, trembling amid the lightning storm.
Within that raging sea of thunder, a small spacecraft struggled through the storm like a lone boat. Its destination was the distant Human Empire.
The alien captain gripped the controls tightly, his resolute gaze fixed ahead.
"Thank goodness the storm stopped those damned pirates!"
"...If I offer up that thing... perhaps I can secure humanity's protection!"
The captain piloted the spacecraft alone, sailing through the systems in solitude.
