Remember the Star Kingdom Atlas?
By deciphering fragments of the Star Kingdom Atlas, Xi Yan had successfully added two star systems to his territory.
Later, he had also found the planet where Captain Smijib lived. Naturally, Smijib and its small population had all been secretly executed, and the planet now belonged to Xi Yan.
Even with its Sentinel Array, the Enigmatic Observers-the Phethisia Primordial Empire-could not detect an extermination on such a small scale, so Xi Yan had wiped out Smijib's people without a care.
Smijib's genes were too poor, and these hive-minded populations could not produce anything worthwhile.
Naturally, then, they did not deserve to be genetically modified and packed into farms like the Amatiero Plant People and the M'tok Stone People.
At an archaeological site on Smijib's planet, archaeologists in the sociology field had unearthed another fragment of the Star Kingdom Atlas. It had been on a statue worshipped by Smijib's tribe.
If a Space Marine carrying out the extermination had not casually sliced through the statue the Smijibs revered as a sacred relic, they never would have found that fragment.
The new Star Kingdom Atlas fragment had revealed an unremarkable star system where another fleet of the Black Needle Pirates was hiding.
Its leader was an Insectoid commander who looked like a cockroach, named Inax.
Naturally, this somewhat stuttering bug and its fleet had soon been routed by the Community Fleet and forced to flee in disgrace.
So what did the Star Kingdom Atlas and the subsequent Black Needle incidents have to do with this war?
After the cockroach commander Inax had fled with the remnants of its fleet, Gorpious had led the Community Fleet in pursuit, while science ships and construction ships moved in to clean up the battlefield.
Amid the wreckage, a science ship had
