Gray Tempest twisted her hull, and a Titan Lance skimmed past her mothership's belly, instantly melting a hole all the way down to the mantle of a distant planet.

Gray Tempest gathered all her energy, and an azure glow began to radiate from her hull.
The moment she reached the Hyperlane entry point, her entire mothership punched through space and plunged into the Hyperlane.
A second later, overlapping waves of cannon fire and strike craft came hurtling after her.

The fleets of the Rixian Seed Empire and the Phethisia Primordial Empire caught up from behind, one on either side.
"I told you, I'm not the Gray Tempest..."
Miss Gray Tempest fled breathlessly down the Hyperlane to who knew where, finally escaping the Titan Lances' targeting locks.
She would stop above a star and absorb some energy first.
Her Nanites extracted a huge quantity of matter from the star's atmosphere, then hastily cobbled together a reactor to power her. Feeling her energy reserves gradually replenish, Miss Gray Tempest finally caught her breath.
Not long after escaping the Holy Guardians' fleet, our Miss Gray Tempest had successfully encountered two more Lost Empire fleets in a new system.
The Rixian Seed Empire's fleet entered through the Hyperlane on the left.
The Phethisia Primordial Empire's fleet entered through the Hyperlane on the right.
Gray Tempest's lone mothership entered through the Hyperlane at the other end.
