Many constantly spinning gyroscopes were still embedded in its surface.

She extended a vast swarm of nanites, pried out the Everspin Gyroscopes one by one, and swallowed them into the Mothership's belly.

After carrying out her policy of total plunder, Miss Gray Tempest finally began considering how to get out.
She couldn't seem to find the way back.
The storm earlier must have been moving, and she had been moving within that moving storm. There was no way she could retrace her route using a fixed reference point that had moved with her.
This little universe wasn't all that little. Finding an astral rift wouldn't be easy.
However, its laws seemed different from those of the greater universe. There were no hyperlanes here, and Gray Tempest could easily reach or even exceed the speed of light using her Ion Thruster.
So she flew straight to the supermassive black hole formed by devouring countless stars.
