The Applied Infinity Project... at this point, verifying pi had become an inconsequential matter.
Through the scientists' fleeting glimpse, they had seen the truth of the universe.
Xi Yan had also learned a few truths from that brief glimpse.
After all that, it turned out to be nothing but a bunch of stubborn Vultaum parasites obsessing over a dead end. No wonder the Time Worm had called them complete and utter idiots!
When Xi Yan first heard the scientists' report, he was rather bewildered, but then he thought again. Wait, that's not right.
The universe being an enormous computer ≠ everything in the universe being virtual!
Virtual Ascension isn't necessarily truly virtual either. It's just a different form of existence!
I think, therefore I am. As a supreme master of the psionics field, Xi Yan immediately banished that pessimistic reality with the power of "I reckon."
So it all came down to the perceptions of those who experienced it firsthand. Human consciousness really was limited, incapable of understanding the true universe.
That left only one question.
Was everything the Time Worm told me back then-my origins, my mission-really entirely correct?
Had the Time Worm truly concealed nothing?
Worm Mom refused to discuss the question. Xi Yan frowned, already knowing the answer.
There were mysteries here that even he could not be allowed to know. The Time Worm was wary of something; some unknown reason prevented it from revealing the truth, and that truth clearly concerned the universe itself.
"They're watching you..."
He remembered those words the Time Worm had let slip.
What did that mean? Was there an even higher universe above this one, like the Extradimensional Demons, or Wuzha Fei's higher dimension?
Or perhaps...
"Usually, only the protagonist of a novel gets transported to another world..."
Xi Yan smiled
