Cetana might have wanted to save the world, but whether she could actually do it seemed doubtful.
If erasing all consciousness and making it as though nothing had ever existed could be called salvation, then Xi Yan simply could not agree with that kind of nihilism.
Being able to think for oneself, to touch and perceive physical reality-"existence" itself was happiness.
Xi Yan's debating spirit stirred. He wanted to have a grand debate with Cetana about existentialism and nihilism.
But there was no denying that Cetana really did seem to love sapient beings. Although her actions certainly had their problems, her heart was undeniably pure, with no emotion in it except love.
"If she could choose another method, that would be ideal. But she's already colluded with the Shroud. There's no turning back for her now," the Time Worm remarked.
