"So, are all my partners gone?"
Faced with Ye Qing's question, Ye Xingchen hesitated for a long time before finally giving a difficult nod.
"They're all gone, huh? What about Diancie?"
Ye Qing took a deep breath. This had been expected. Although Pokémon generally lived longer than humans, few species could live for a thousand years.
Ye Xingchen said with some pride, "Diancie has always protected the Ye Family. Before I came here, she had already grown into the Diamond Queen."
"The Diamond Queen?"
"That's wonderful."
Ye Qing was filled with emotion. That little girl who hadn't even mastered Fairy type Power back then had become a queen who ruled over her own domain in the future.
With Diancie's strength at that point, even Ho-Oh would probably have to give her a wide berth, right?
"Ye Qing?"
Jirachi's soft voice rang out as she looked at Ye Qing's face with some excitement.
"You're awake?"
Ye Qing gently brushed a finger against the little one's cheek. He hadn't expected to actually see Jirachi again in this lifetime.
"We meet again."
Jirachi smiled as she said this. Although a thousand years had been nothing more than a nap to her, she knew that for humans, it was a lifetime or even longer.
Holding Celebi, Ye Xingchen tactfully left, leaving this brief time to them.
"Come on out, everyone."
Ye Qing released all his Pokémon. Not much time had passed since Jirachi had last fallen asleep, so although everyone was happy, they weren't quite so excited.
Except for Milotic, of course.
Ye Mom, Su Yiqin, and Ye Xingchen stood beneath the eaves, watching Ye Qing play with Jirachi, and decided not to disturb him.
At the dinner table, Su Yiqin asked curiously, "Is the world a thousand years from now really that wonderful?
