Remembering the battle in which their lives had hung by a thread, Wang Yao couldn't help rolling his eyes. "Sir, you should've reported it sooner! Then we wouldn't have had to fight for our lives, would we?"
The old man paid no mind to Wang Yao's attitude and said with a chuckle, "Team Rocket was using signal-jamming equipment. I could only report it after destroying it."
Wang Yao nodded in understanding, then asked tentatively, "Sir, do you know Zhang Ziren?"
"I'm Zhang Ziren."
Hearing the other boy say his name, the old man answered in confusion, unable to understand how he knew what he was called.
Wang Yao jumped up and pointed at him. "How can you be this old?!"

Seeing his look of disbelief, Zhang Ziren was instead left rather bewildered.

The old man shook his head with a laugh.
Wang Yao gave him a look that said, Go on, keep pretending, then took out the somewhat worn pink envelope and handed it to him.
The old man had still been smiling, but the moment he saw the writing on the envelope, he froze.
