It was the helipad of a research institute. The morning sun had just risen above the horizon, and the cool early breeze kept blowing into Ye Qing's clothes.
"Is this Shanhai City?"
Ye Qing scratched his head and began looking for familiar buildings.
"Qingzi, you got here pretty fast! I only just got the news!"
While Ye Qing stood there at a loss, Wang Yao ran out of the research institute, yawning.
"What are you doing here?"
Ye Qing gave him a punch, then remembered as soon as he spoke that Aerodactyl seemed to be under study here.
Wang Yao pointed his thumb over his shoulder. "You've got the nerve to ask? Well? Your buddy's been diligently standing guard here for you!"
Ye Qing nodded. "So Aerodactyl's here?"
Wang Yao yawned. "Yeah. You have no idea-spies from some organizations have practically gone crazy, trying to sneak in every day. If it weren't for me, the data would probably have been stolen several times already."
The yawning was contagious, and Ye Qing began feeling sleepy too. He had barely slept on the helicopter earlier.
"Find me somewhere to catch up on sleep first. We can talk when I wake up."
"You got it."
Wang Yao draped an arm over Ye Qing's shoulders and headed into the research institute. Whatever else this place lacked, it had plenty of rooms.
Ye Qing fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow again. By the time he woke up, it was already afternoon.
Without going to see Aerodactyl, who was still being studied, Ye Qing let out the now-recovered Gardevoir and teleported toward home.
Ye Mom had already heard from Wang Yao that Ye Qing was back, so she was not particularly surprised when her son and Gardevoir suddenly appeared in the yard.
