Once Aggron finished the camouflage, Gardevoir closed her eyes and vanished with everyone.
Ye Qing and the others appeared at the way station. The flame atop Infernape's head illuminated the space. The surrounding rocks were covered in tooth marks and scratches, making it obvious that Gabite had dug the place out haphazardly.
Without lingering at this way station, Ye Qing had Gardevoir continue following Gabite's trail.
After several consecutive Teleports, they finally spotted Gabite with his head burrowing into the ground.
This was a natural underground cavern. Since the flame atop Infernape's head provided limited light, Ye Qing could not make out the entire limestone cavern at first.

Gardevoir immediately told Ye Qing that there were no humans or wild Pokémon nearby.
"Flamethrower."
Infernape tilted his head back and spat out a mass of flames. The soaring blaze instantly lit up the entire limestone cavern.
The enormous cavern looked shadowy and indistinct in the firelight.
"Well, Gabite, Aggron, can you sense any diamonds nearby?"
Ye Qing let Aggron out again. Matters like this still called for an expert.
"Doh."
Aggron sniffed the air, then clawed off a piece of rock and put it in his mouth to savor carefully. Only after a long while did he determine the diamonds' approximate location.
"Good. Everyone, follow Aggron. Make sure you don't get separated."
Ye Qing's spirits soared, and he even began imagining what things would be like after he caught Diancie.
After they had walked through the natural cavern for a long time, Gardevoir suddenly stopped.
