Three streams of energy collided in midair. Gunk Shot lived up to its reputation as a powerful Poison-type move-with Ursaring's strength behind it, it actually held its own against the other two attacks!
Lying on the tree, Ye Qing frowned slightly. "So strong. Is this the level of a Trainer's main Pokémon?"
"Roar~"
Ursaring threw back his head and roared. White light blossomed around his right arm, which slammed into the trunk with a boom!
The enormous tree shook violently. Feebas had not been secured very firmly to begin with and nearly fell from the blow.
The attacks did not stop. The hungry Ursaring had thrown caution to the wind, repeatedly pounding the trunk with Hammer Arm.
"Flamethrower, Water Pulse."
Supporting Feebas with one hand and hugging the trunk with the other, Ye Qing decided to hold out against this Ursaring to the bitter end.
After the stalemate continued a little longer, Ursaring realized his repeated attacks were getting nowhere. He simply stationed himself beneath the tree, his savage eyes fixed on Ye Qing above.
Seeing his stance, Ye Qing thought, Is he planning to wait me out?
"Ha-cha."
Monferno scratched his head, looking thoughtful. This Ursaring put him under considerable pressure.
Ye Qing fed Monferno and Feebas a Pokéblock each. After this period of nurturing, the brown markings on Feebas had grown very faint. He believed they would disappear completely before long.
The sun gradually sank below the horizon. All afternoon, Ursaring kept pacing beneath the tree, pounding the trunk whenever he had rested enough.
Fortunately, whenever he struck, Monferno and Feebas stopped him with ranged moves. The tree was also exceptionally tough, with a thick, sturdy trunk. An ordinary tree really would not have withstood his pounding.
Ye Qing was not in that much of a hurry
