Ch. 501Entering Youyun: Benefactor, I Can Pay More

Jiang Ru brought Xu Taiping supplies and food before his departure for Youyun Heaven, and he promised to bring Duan Xiaoyu back. During the teleportation, Venerable Jiaye appeared in the Void and asked Xu Taiping for a favor, offering to pay more.

  • Jiang Ru gave Xu Taiping packed necessities and food prepared by Duan Xiaoyu, and Xu Taiping promised to bring Xiaoyu back from Youyun Heaven.
  • Xu Taiping activated the Teleportation Token and began traveling from True Martial Heaven to Youyun Heaven through a Void Wormhole.
  • Venerable Jiaye appeared in the Void and explained that he could meet Xu Taiping there because that part of the Void connected to the Wilderness.
  • Xu Taiping refused to accept another task without knowing its risks, so Venerable Jiaye offered to pay more and mentioned Vairocana Chan Temple as a possible destination.

Ch. 502Entering Youyun, this is a forced sale

Xu Taiping resisted Venerable Jiaye’s request to protect a reincarnated Buddha Child at Vairocana Chan Temple, but Jiaye offered him five lives and powerful rewards. When Xu Taiping tried to make his agreement conditional on where his Teleportation Token sent him, Jiaye sent him to the temple by force.

  • Xu Taiping refused Venerable Jiaye’s request to go to Vairocana Chan Temple, saying the yaomo had occupied it and the journey would mean certain death.
  • Venerable Jiaye promised Xu Taiping five lives and explained that a Buddha Child, the reincarnation of an Ancient Buddha, would be born at the temple the next day.
  • Xu Taiping learned that Dharma Masters would arrive in three days and agreed to consider protecting the Buddha Child until then.
  • Venerable Jiaye offered Xu Taiping three seals and the title of Great Dharma Protector, but admitted he could not grant the seals yet.
  • Xu Taiping said he would accept the commission only if his Teleportation Token happened to send him to Vairocana Chan Temple.
  • Venerable Jiaye took the token, shattered it to create a golden-lit vortex, and pulled Xu Taiping toward it as Xu Taiping protested that this was a forced sale.

Ch. 503Entering Youyun, dangers on every side at Vairocana Temple

Xu Taiping arrived at Vairocana Zen Temple in Youyun Heaven, where Kasyapa’s monks welcomed him as a Dharma Protector, but an unseen attacker killed him almost immediately. He revived at the moment of arrival with one of his five lives spent, and prepared to investigate the killer while conserving his remaining chances.

  • Xu Taiping woke inside Vairocana Zen Temple after Kasyapa’s teleportation, found a bracelet bearing five prayer beads, and reunited with Fairy Lingyue.
  • Monks at the temple greeted Xu Taiping as a Dharma Protector sent by the Buddha, but an unseen attacker cut him down.
  • Xu Taiping revived in the Main Hall and learned that Fairy Lingyue remembered nothing from after his arrival, revealing that Kasyapa’s power had restored the moment of his teleportation.
  • Fairy Lingyue suggested that Ancient Buddha Kasyapa’s domain had restored everything within a space rather than truly reversing time.
  • Xu Taiping created a clone, stayed inside the Main Hall, and drew the Shentu Bow to identify the attacker, whom he suspected was a demonic beast spy.

Ch. 504Vairocana Temple, the Heavenly Dharma Protector Arrives

Xu Taiping entered Vairocana Temple as a Heavenly Dharma Protector and exposed several werewolves disguised as monks. He reached Heavenly King Hall with Miaoxin, only to find the abbot and other monks dead.

  • Xu Taiping used his clone to draw out a disguised werewolf, then killed it with a Leibo Arrow when it attacked.
  • A second disguised werewolf struck Xu Taiping's clone and was killed by his Heaven-Shaking Stance.
  • Xu Taiping identified the two attackers as werewolves and asked Dharma Master Miaoxin to take him to the abbot.
  • Three more werewolves transformed and attacked Xu Taiping and Miaoxin, but Xu Taiping killed them with a snap of his fingers.
  • Xu Taiping and Miaoxin reached Heavenly King Hall and found seven or eight monks dead, including the abbot, whose body had been pinned to a Buddha statue.

Ch. 505Vairocana Temple, Heavenly Dharma Protector? Nothing special

Xu Taiping learned that the abbot had died in one timeline, then returned to the past and entered Heavenly King Hall to identify the disguised Demonic Beast. He spotted Huide reacting when his clone left, leaving Xu Taiping poised to confront the suspected demon and save the abbot.

  • Miaoxin told Xu Taiping that Abbot Huiming had been killed and was the only one who knew where the woman carrying the Buddha Child was hidden.
  • A mysterious man called Xu Taiping the Heavenly Dharma Protector before striking him unconscious.
  • Xu Taiping woke again, discussed the two groups of Demonic Beasts with Fairy Lingyue, and planned to identify the infiltrators while protecting Huiming.
  • Xu Taiping concealed his true body and entered Heavenly King Hall, where he overheard Huiming and the chief seats discussing the temple's defenses and the Buddha Child.
  • Xu Taiping sent a clone out of Kasaya Hall to provoke the hidden Demonic Beasts, then noticed Huide react with surprise.

Ch. 506Vairocana Temple, the Evil-Delivering Asura Heavenly Dharma Protector?

Xu Taiping exposed and killed two werewolf demons who had infiltrated Vairocana Temple, saving Abbot Huiming and earning the monks’ reverence as the Evil-Delivering Asura Heavenly Dharma Protector. Huiming explained that the temple’s hidden demons had been lured out, and the surviving monks would now focus on the beasts outside.

  • After Xu Taiping’s clones killed the demonic beasts, he spotted killing intent in Huikong’s eyes and identified him as a threat.
  • Huide and Huikong revealed themselves as werewolves and attacked Abbot Huiming, but Xu Taiping’s wind wall and suppression technique disrupted their assault.
  • Xu Taiping killed the gray-haired werewolf and, with Abbot Huiming’s golden Buddha Hands pinning the white-haired one, battered it to death.
  • The monks mistook Xu Taiping for the Evil-Delivering Asura who served Ancient Buddha Kasyapa, and Abbot Huiming knelt to welcome him as the Heavenly Dharma Protector.
  • Huiming told Xu Taiping that he had lured the werewolves out to eliminate them, but had failed to anticipate that two Demon Venerable Realm leaders had infiltrated the temple.

Ch. 507Vairocana Temple, a blow from Tianlang Guyue's axe

Xu Taiping learned that the Buddha Child was safe and that Vairocana Temple’s damaged formation needed his prayer beads to endure. Before he could reach the hidden Evil-Delivering Asura armor, Tianlang Guyue shattered the formation and killed him, sending him back to Kasaya Hall with only two beads remaining.

  • Abbot Huiming told Xu Taiping that demonic beasts were besieging Vairocana Temple and its formation was nearly out of power.
  • Xu Taiping lent his All Beings Are Equal Prayer Beads to sustain the formation for two days, and Abbot Huiming revealed the Evil-Delivering Asura armor hidden in the Rear Mountain Sutra Repository.
  • Tianlang Guyue struck the formation with his axe, breaking it before Xu Taiping and Abbot Huiming could replace its power source.
  • Tianlang Guyue accused them of killing his son and struck Xu Taiping and Abbot Huiming down with an axe shadow.
  • Xu Taiping awoke in Kasaya Hall with only two prayer beads left, then split off three clones and hurried out while invisible.

Ch. 508The Buddha Child Is Born, the Heavenly Dharma Protector Truly Is a Divine Being

Xu Taiping defeated the white-haired werewolf and hurried Abbot Huiming to replace Vairocana Temple’s formation-node artifact. As they reached the artifact, the Sky Wolf Devil Master appeared in the sky, just as Xu Taiping had anticipated.

  • Xu Taiping killed the white-haired werewolf after learning that werewolves called their Devil Master father, and Abbot Huiming welcomed him as the Heavenly Dharma Protector, Evil-Delivering Asura.
  • Xu Taiping asked Huiming to take him to the formation-node artifact and gave him the All Beings Are Equal Magic Artifact, which could sustain the formation for two days.
  • Xu Taiping told Huiming to retrieve the Evil-Delivering Asura’s battle armor, impressing the abbot with his repeated anticipation of what Huiming was about to say.
  • Huiming showed Xu Taiping the worn kasaya in the Buddha statue’s palm, and Xu Taiping insisted they replace it immediately.
  • The Sky Wolf Devil Master Guyue appeared above the courtyard, and Huiming realized Xu Taiping had foreseen his arrival.

Ch. 509The Buddha Child Is Born, the Edict of Ancient Buddha Kasyapa Is Proclaimed

Xu Taiping used the All Beings Are Equal Buddhist Prayer Beads to restore and strengthen Vairocana Temple’s formation, turning Sky Wolf Devil Master Guyue’s full-force attack against him. Abbot Huiming then proclaimed that monks who died protecting the Buddha Child would be guided by Ancient Buddha Kasyapa to ultimate bliss, leaving Xu Taiping troubled by the growing misunderstanding.

  • Sky Wolf Devil Master Guyue struck Vairocana Temple’s formation twice, weakening it without breaking through.
  • Xu Taiping predicted Guyue’s roar and waited for his next full-strength attack while Abbot Huiming became convinced of Xu Taiping’s powers.
  • Xu Taiping placed the All Beings Are Equal Buddhist Prayer Beads in the Buddha Statue’s palm, restoring and strengthening the formation just before Guyue’s axe struck.
  • The formation repelled Guyue’s attack, injuring him with the recoil and enraging the surrounding Werewolf Demon Army.
  • Xu Taiping comforted Abbot Huiming by saying the dead monks would reach ultimate bliss, and Huiming took his words as a divine message.
  • Abbot Huiming proclaimed Ancient Buddha Kasyapa’s edict that monks who died saving the Buddha Child would be reborn in ultimate bliss, leaving Xu Taiping speechless.

Ch. 510The Buddha Child Was Born, the Evil-Delivering Asura's Battle Armor

Xu Taiping gave the besieged monks of Vairocana Temple hope by promising them rebirth in paradise, then opened the Armor Pellet containing the Evil-Delivering Asura’s battle armor. With Fairy Lingyue controlling the Divine Artifact, he briefly unleashed its fearsome aura before putting it back to sleep.

  • Xu Taiping promised the monks they could be reborn in paradise, restoring their morale and resolve to defend Vairocana Temple.
  • Fairy Lingyue told Xu Taiping that a sword cultivator’s strike had once devastated the Buddhist Kingdom.
  • Abbot Huiming gave Xu Taiping the Armor Pellet containing the Evil-Delivering Asura’s battle armor, and Xu Taiping opened it with his True Essence.
  • Fairy Lingyue warned that the Divine Artifact required immense Divine Essence and agreed to control it for Xu Taiping despite the risk of attracting One-Leaf Book’s attention.
  • Fairy Lingyue awakened the battle armor, spreading a terrifying aura across Vairocana Temple, then let it recede at Xu Taiping’s request.

Ch. 511The Buddha Child Is Born-Why Not Call Him Wangcai?

After the Buddha Child was born at Vairocana Temple, Xu Taiping helped name him Yelai, though his parents kept Wangcai as his childhood nickname. As the temple’s magic formation began to fail, Xu Taiping used a protective artifact to prepare to defend the child against the demons.

  • Abbot Huiming gave Xu Taiping a bodhi branch that could become a single-plank bridge, and explained that Xu Taiping could guard it once the temple’s formation failed.
  • A village couple asked Xu Taiping to name their newborn, and he chose Yelai after the child’s nighttime birth.
  • Abbot Huiming praised the name as a symbol of hope against the demons, but the couple accepted it only after he offered to teach the child to read and kept Wangcai as his nickname.
  • Xu Taiping reflected on the couple’s affection for their child while Huiming tried to mediate their argument.
  • Two days later, as cracks spread across the weakening formation, Xu Taiping threw the bodhi branch across the stream and challenged the demons to face his saber before reaching the Buddha Child.

Ch. 512The Single-Plank Bridge, Hundred Cicadas Crying in Unison and the Immortal-Rending Slash

Xu Taiping lured a group of Werewolf Demons onto the Single-Plank Bridge, defeated them, and killed their leader with one slash. As the surviving demons raised an alarm, Blade Ghost suggested a way to combine the Immortal-Rending Slash with the Cicada Cry Form, and Xu Taiping prepared to try it.

  • Xu Taiping stepped out of Vairocana Temple’s formation and challenged the Werewolf Demons guarding the river.
  • The bald wolf sent his Werewolf underlings leaping toward Xu Taiping, but golden Buddhist hands knocked them into the river.
  • Xu Taiping killed the bald wolf with the Demon-Slaying Blade after he tried to flee the Single-Plank Bridge.
  • The surviving Werewolf Demons howled to warn their allies, and Xu Taiping decided to face stronger demons without using the Asura Armor.
  • Blade Ghost advised Xu Taiping to unite a hundred cicadas by merging the Immortal-Rending Slash with the Cicada Cry Form, and Xu Taiping agreed to try.

Ch. 513Single-Plank Bridge, battling the red-haired Werewolf Demon King

Xu Taiping received Blade Ghost’s instructions for the Immortal-Rending Slash and prepared to defend Vairocana Zen Temple alongside its monks. As the red-haired Werewolf Demon King attacked him on the Single-Plank Bridge, Xu Taiping tried to combine the Immortal-Rending Slash with the Cicada Cry Form, and their clash drove him back to the riverbank.

  • Blade Ghost taught Xu Taiping the knack and essential principles of drawing the blade for the Immortal-Rending Slash before disappearing.
  • Huineng and Huizhun offered to support Xu Taiping with Buddhist methods that restored qi, blood, and true essence, and Huizhun urged the monks to keep chanting.
  • Huineng told Xu Taiping that the Sky Wolf Devil Master and several Demon Venerables were attacking the grand formation over the back courtyard.
  • Black Wood Demon Venerable ordered Red Hair to attack Xu Taiping, and Red Hair crossed onto the Single-Plank Bridge.
  • Xu Taiping used the Cicada Cry Form to halt Red Hair briefly and tried to fuse its blade shadows with the Immortal-Rending Slash, but their blades collided before the fusion was complete.

Ch. 514The Single-Plank Bridge, Thanks to Demon Venerable Black Wood for the Blade

Xu Taiping used the werewolves to practice his blade techniques and killed Red Hair with a powerful fusion of the Cicada Cry Form and Immortal-Rending Slash. Demon Venerable Black Wood gave Gray Eye his Darkworld Blade and ordered him to kill Xu Taiping before the Devil Master broke through the formation.

  • Xu Taiping returned to the Single-Plank Bridge and let Red Hair believe his first slash had overwhelmed him.
  • Xu Taiping unleashed a stronger blade strike, wounded Red Hair, and forced him to reveal his true demon body.
  • Xu Taiping combined the Cicada Cry Form with the Immortal-Rending Slash and tore Red Hair apart with Demon-Slaying Blade qi.
  • Gray Eye recognized Red Hair's blood and called to Demon Venerable Black Wood.
  • Demon Venerable Black Wood gave Gray Eye the Darkworld Blade and ordered him to kill Xu Taiping quickly.
  • Gray Eye promised to take Xu Taiping's head within three slashes.

Ch. 515Single-Plank Bridge, Water-Cutting Blade against Darkworld Blade

Xu Taiping faced a gray-haired Werewolf Demon King wielding the Demon King Weapon Darkworld Blade on the Single-Plank Bridge, while Vairocana Temple’s leaders replenished his True Essence. He concealed the full extent of his Blade Force and unleashed an Immortal-Rending Slash that tore through the Werewolf’s attack and struck him.

  • Xu Taiping realized the Magic Formation might soon fail and resolved to combine the Cicada Cry Form and Immortal-Rending Slash before the Heavenly Wolf King arrived.
  • Huineng, Huizhun, and Vairocana Temple’s disciples used Buddhist chants to replenish Xu Taiping’s True Essence.
  • The gray-haired Werewolf Demon King charged across the Single-Plank Bridge with the Demon King Weapon Darkworld Blade and unleashed Frost Washes the Long Sky.
  • Xu Taiping used hidden reserves of Blade Force to prolong the Werewolf’s bind, then struck with the Water-Cutting Blade and fused forty Blade Shadows into an Immortal-Rending Slash.
  • Xu Taiping’s blade mark tore through the Werewolf’s wind and snow attack and cut into the gray-haired Werewolf.

Ch. 516Single-Plank Bridge, the final strike of seven that would surely break the blade

Xu Taiping repeatedly struck down the gray-haired werewolf while trying to break the Darkworld Blade with the Water-Cutting Blade, but Demon Venerable Blackwood intervened and reclaimed the weapon. Xu Taiping recovered his strength and faced Blackwood on the single-plank bridge, preparing for a final clash.

  • Xu Taiping struck the gray-haired werewolf several times with his merged blade technique, badly wounding him but leaving him alive.
  • The gray-haired werewolf unleashed his true demon body and attacked again, but Xu Taiping continued to knock him back with powerful strikes.
  • Demon Venerable Blackwood kicked the werewolf aside, condemned him as useless, and reclaimed the Darkworld Blade.
  • Xu Taiping realized his Water-Cutting Blade still needed one more clash with the Darkworld Blade to break it, and hoped to use that strike against Blackwood.
  • Xu Taiping stepped onto the single-plank bridge as Buddhist scriptures restored his strength and Fairy Lingyue awakened some of the Asura Armor's protection.
  • Blackwood approached Xu Taiping with the Darkworld Blade and declared that it did not matter who he was because he would soon be dead.

Ch. 517Battling the Wolves, Black Wood Demon Venerable's Darkworld Blade

Xu Taiping faced Black Wood Demon Venerable at the Single-Plank Bridge outside Vairocana Temple and answered the Demon Venerable’s Darkworld Blade with the Cicada Cry Form. His strike wounded Black Wood Demon Venerable and shattered the Demon King Weapon, leaving the Demon Venerable bleeding with a gaping chest wound.

  • Black Wood Demon Venerable’s freezing aura clashed with Xu Taiping’s blade qi, splitting the river beneath the bridge between ice and green grass.
  • Xu Taiping learned from Fairy Lingyue that he was using fifty percent of the Asura Armor’s power and chose not to increase it, saving the risk for his future fight with the Sky Wolf Devil Master.
  • Black Wood Demon Venerable drew the Darkworld Blade and unleashed a blizzard of icy blades at Xu Taiping.
  • Xu Taiping used the Cicada Cry Form to hold back the attack, then struck with sixty merged blade shadows and tore through the blizzard.
  • Xu Taiping’s blade qi wounded Black Wood Demon Venerable and shattered the Darkworld Blade, causing black blood to spray from the Demon Venerable’s chest.

Ch. 518Battling the Wolf Pack, Your Sons Are All Good-for-nothings

Xu Taiping killed Demon Venerable Black Wood and held the Single-Plank Bridge against the yaomo army outside Vairocana Temple. The Heavenly Wolf King ordered his sons to fight Xu Taiping one at a time, threatening to eat them if they failed.

  • The formation protecting Vairocana Temple shattered, but Abbot Huiming and the monks repelled the invading yaomo with waves of Buddha Hands.
  • Xu Taiping cut off Demon Venerable Black Wood's head and sealed his divine soul in the Ghost-Sealing Talisman.
  • The Heavenly Wolf King and nine Demon Venerables arrived at the riverbank, and Xu Taiping challenged them to cross the Single-Plank Bridge.
  • The Heavenly Wolf King stopped his sons from rushing onto the bridge and recognized that Xu Taiping was provoking him to fight.
  • The Heavenly Wolf King gave each of his sons one chance to defeat Xu Taiping and threatened to eat them if they failed.

Ch. 519Battling the Wolves, Heavenly Wolf King Guyue Made His Move

Xu Taiping defeated the Heavenly Wolf King's sons one after another on the Single-Plank Bridge, using their attacks to hone his blade technique. When the Heavenly Wolf King finally stepped in himself, Fairy Lingyue urged Xu Taiping to unleash the Asura Armor's full power.

  • Demon Venerable Yintong challenged Xu Taiping, but Xu Taiping's Cicada Cry Form and Immortal-Rending Slash pierced him and sent him back to the Heavenly Wolf King.
  • The Heavenly Wolf King swallowed Yintong and produced a new son, then did the same after Xu Taiping defeated Tiegu and several more Werewolf challengers.
  • The Heavenly Wolf King stopped his last old son from fighting and strode toward the Single-Plank Bridge with his giant axe.
  • Xu Taiping regretted that he had not yet fully merged a hundred slashes, and Fairy Lingyue told him to use the Asura Armor's full power.

Ch. 520Battling the Wolves, Taking the Heavenly Wolf King's Axe Strike

Xu Taiping unleashed the Asura Armor’s power to face the Heavenly Wolf King and provoke his strongest axe strike. After dying and rebirthing in Kasaya Hall, Xu Taiping remembered the strike and began discussing how to counter it with Fairy Lingyue and Blade Ghost.

  • Fairy Lingyue warned Xu Taiping that the Heavenly Wolf King’s aura exceeded the first level of the Transformation Realm, and Xu Taiping agreed to test his strength despite having only two rebirths left.
  • Fairy Lingyue unleashed the Asura Armor’s power, but the Heavenly Wolf King revealed his second-level Transformation Realm strength and swept Xu Taiping’s aura aside.
  • Blade Ghost and Fairy Lingyue offered to record the Heavenly Wolf King’s strongest axe strike and help Xu Taiping study it after his rebirth.
  • Xu Taiping attacked with the Cicada Cry Form and Immortal-Rending Slash, but the Heavenly Wolf King shattered his blade force with an axe strike that killed him and cleaved Vairocana Temple in two.
  • Xu Taiping rebirthed in Kasaya Hall with only one bead remaining, recalled the axe strike, and began planning a way to exploit its weaknesses with Fairy Lingyue and Blade Ghost.

Ch. 521Fight the Heavenly Wolf, People Can't Be That Selfish

After helping Vairocana Temple prepare for the Buddha Child’s birth, Xu Taiping joined the child’s parents for a meal instead of returning to plan for his fight with the Heavenly Wolf King. The mother’s concern eased his exhaustion, and her resolve to let her son protect ordinary people left Xu Taiping reflecting on why the fight mattered.

  • Xu Taiping declined Abbot Huiming’s invitation to the temple’s dining hall when the Buddha Child’s father pulled him aside to share a meal.
  • Abbot Huiming wondered whether the Buddha Child’s parents were reincarnations of eminent monks and left without interrupting them.
  • As Xu Taiping ate, the Buddha Child’s mother noticed his distraction and urged him not to push himself against the demons and devils.
  • Xu Taiping realized how exhausted he was, drank Dragon Gall Wine, and felt refreshed after the pain swept the fatigue away.
  • The parents argued about whether their son, Yelai, should grow up to subdue demons and exterminate devils.
  • The mother said that if Yelai could protect people from demons and devils, she would let him do it without charging a coin.

Ch. 522Battling the Heavenly Wolf, an Origin Law from the Nine Abysses

Xu Taiping learned why the Heavenly Wolf King's axe strike carried a power he could not imitate: it held the true intent of a demon butcher. Blade Ghost and Fairy Lingyue explained the origin laws demons pursued, and Blade Ghost taught Xu Taiping the blade cultivator’s own true intent as a way to break his opponent’s.

  • Xu Taiping watched the couple argue over Wangcai before the Buddha Child Yelai smiled at him and delighted them both.
  • In Blade Ghost’s Blade Domain, Blade Ghost recreated the Heavenly Wolf King’s axe strike, but Xu Taiping sensed it was missing something.
  • Fairy Lingyue explained that Transformation Realm cultivators pursued truth, while demon cultivators sought the Nine Abysses’ origin laws.
  • Fairy Lingyue identified Heavenly Wolf King Guyue as a butcher whose origin-law true intent let him cut through anything and leave it ruined.
  • Xu Taiping asked whether demon butchers’ true intent resembled that of blade and sword cultivators, and Fairy Lingyue explained their different purposes.
  • Blade Ghost reminded Xu Taiping that blade cultivators sought to hold no one in their eyes and bow to neither law nor heaven, and said that intent could break an opponent’s true intent.

Ch. 523Fight the Heavenly Wolf, honing a blade cultivator's ultimate realm

Xu Taiping trained with Blade Ghost to fuse the Cicada Cry Form and Immortal-Rending Slash, preparing to defeat the Heavenly Wolf King with one strike. On the Single-Plank Bridge, he unleashed Hundred Cicadas United as One and tore through the Heavenly Wolf King’s axe shadow.

  • Blade Ghost repeatedly killed and revived Xu Taiping as he honed his blade techniques for the coming battle.
  • Fairy Lingyue reflected that Xu Taiping’s progress toward the ultimate realm was crucial to his chance of reaching the Transformation Realm.
  • Two days later, Xu Taiping faced the Heavenly Wolf King on the Single-Plank Bridge and chose to wait for his attack without activating the Asura Armor.
  • The Heavenly Wolf King struck with his Giant Axe, and Xu Taiping drew his blade as the Asura Armor released its power.
  • Xu Taiping used the Cicada Cry Form to briefly restrain the Heavenly Wolf King, then combined over a hundred blade shadows into Hundred Cicadas United as One and shattered the axe shadow.

Ch. 524Fight the Heavenly Wolf, a blessing amid misfortune?

Xu Taiping defeated the Heavenly Wolf King’s axe strike, but the king’s final attack collapsed a meditation room and killed the couple protecting Buddha Child Yelai. After finding Yelai alive, Xu Taiping resolved to face the Heavenly Wolf King again and began preparing another attempt.

  • Xu Taiping’s Immortal-Rending Slash broke the axe strike’s momentum, then re-formed and blasted through the Heavenly Wolf King’s chest, shattering his axe and armor.
  • The wounded Heavenly Wolf King hurled the remaining half of his axe at the meditation room where the Buddha Child was staying.
  • Warrior monks from Brahma Sound Temple and other temples arrived as Xu Taiping rushed to the back courtyard and lifted the giant axe off the collapsed building.
  • Xu Taiping found the country couple dead beneath the rubble, while Buddha Child Yelai survived beneath their bodies.
  • Xu Taiping told Fairy Lingyue and Blade Ghost to leave their Divine Soul Marks so he could fight the Heavenly Wolf King again, then made a clone that drew its blade and slashed at him.

Ch. 525Defeating the Heavenly Wolf, good people like you are blessed

Xu Taiping defeated Heavenly Wolf King Guyue with an ultimate slash, but Guyue escaped before the monks arrived. After Xu Taiping found Sis and the Buddha Child’s family safe, hidden demons attacked them, and four monks descended to intervene.

  • Xu Taiping defeated Heavenly Wolf King Guyue with a single ultimate slash, and Guyue fled with the surviving Werewolf Demons.
  • Monks from the major temples arrived and drove the Werewolf Demons from the area while Xu Taiping hurried to check on Sis and the Buddha Child’s family.
  • Xu Taiping found Sis and the Buddha Child’s family alive after they had followed his warning to leave their courtyard.
  • A spear flew toward Xu Taiping and the family, but a golden palm knocked it away before hidden demonic beasts attacked them.
  • Four monks wearing kasayas descended as Xu Taiping prepared to defend the family.
