Arc 100The Southern Heavenly Gate
Xu Taiping’s team entered the Southern Heavenly Gate Ruins and learned that Yundaozi had failed to contain Xingtian’s divine intent. After discovering signs that the seal might be failing, Xu Taiping led his companions to Dumu Palace, where a familiar voice called to him from within the ruins.
- Xu Taiping rejected the Blood Ancestor’s offer to guide the group for a price and forced him to agree to help without conditions, though Xu Taiping said he could get everyone out without him.
- The Heartless Demon Emperor ordered Pang Zhong to slaughter the Yan Kingdom refugees, and Pang Zhong killed the last surviving infant before the demons summoned Chitu from the corpses.
- Xu Taiping traced a safe route through Flame Mountain’s restrictions, rescued the Old Hunter from the Wolf-Killing Gang, and retrieved a Bronze Casket from the volcanic crater.
- Xu Taiping opened Yundaozi’s testament at the Southern Heavenly Gate entrance, then led his companions through the Bronze Gate and fought Heavenly Soldier Skeletons until they concealed their auras with treasures from the ruins.
- Yundaozi’s recorded message revealed that he had released Xingtian’s divine intent and sacrificed himself to weaken and seal it, leaving Xu Taiping a chance to strike before the seal broke.
- Xu Taiping used his Lotus Eye to view Immortal Elder Wuji’s message from Dumu Palace, where Xingtian’s divine intent attacked him, and decided to investigate the ruins.
- The Blood Ancestor disclosed that the Blood Skeleton Head could point toward Dumu Palace and that Yundaozi’s seal had begun failing, and Xu Taiping’s group followed its light there.
- Xu Taiping used the Blood Skeleton Head to hide his companions from three divine generals, then heard a familiar voice call his name from Dumu Palace.
