Astonished Tony
"I made myself clear, Mr. Stark. I have the metal you need. I specifically got hold of your private number because I want to make this deal with you."
Luo Wen's words plunged Tony into silence.
His mind raced.
The other party sounded calm and steady, not like he was pulling a prank.
Nor did it sound like a scam.
Getting hold of Tony's private number was much harder than running a scam.
"I'm not quite convinced by what you're saying unless you can prove it to me."
Tony did not ask about the metal's price.
If it was real, money was not a problem for him.
"I'll send it over to you shortly. Test it yourself, and you'll know."
Luo Wen could not be bothered to keep going back and forth with Tony, so he got straight to the point.
"Send it directly to me for testing?"
Tony looked stunned. He had never seen someone deliver goods first without asking for money.
At the same time, an inexplicable surge of excitement rose within him.
That confident tone and straightforward approach... did the other party really have something genuine?
If it was real...
Tony glanced at his damaged Iron Man Armor, and his eyes lit up!
"Yes. We'll talk after you've tested it."
After saying that, Luo Wen hung up immediately.
Listening to the dial tone, Tony still looked a little dazed.
"Jarvis, analyze his tone. What are the chances he was lying?"
After spacing out for a few seconds, Tony suddenly asked Jarvis.
"Sir, one percent."
Tony's expression was a mix of shock and delight.
After hanging up, Luo Wen picked up the silver suitcase and headed out.
Tony's villa was in an ostentatious location, making it easy to find. About half an hour later, Luo Wen arrived.
However, he was stopped by an AI infrared scanning system five hundred meters away.
Tony, inside the villa, received the alert as well.
Luo Wen opened the car door and got out. Walking up to the camera, he raised the silver suitcase, opened it, and displayed the Kroll Alloy inside.
Tony, watching through the camera, immediately understood.
"Jarvis, does he have any weapons on him?"
"No, sir."
"Good. Let him through."
When he saw the gate open, Luo Wen smiled, got back into the car, and drove straight into Tony's garage.
At that moment, a man was already waiting at the entrance. He wore brown-tinted sunglasses, a suit with a red tie, and a small mustache. He was somewhat handsome, but carried an air of carefree arrogance.
"Hello, I'm Luo Wen."
Luo Wen got out of the car, stepped forward, introduced himself, and extended his hand.
Tony stared at Luo Wen's exceptionally young face, his expression becoming rather colorful.
It had not been obvious on the surveillance feed, but now Tony realized that this young man was at most eighteen years old.
This kid was the one who had called him and claimed to have a super alloy?
Tony immediately felt as though he had been played.
"You're the one who called me?"
"That's right."
Luo Wen did not waste any words. Tony had clearly become suspicious because he was too young.
So Luo Wen withdrew his hand and opened the silver suitcase right in front of Tony.
Tony's gaze was instantly drawn to the blue-black metal before him.
"This is the alloy. You can test it directly and see whether I was lying."
Luo Wen gestured toward it.
Tony shot Luo Wen a suspicious look, then grabbed the Kroll Alloy and turned to head inside.
"Come with me. If I find out you're playing me, you'll regret it!"
Luo Wen was somewhat speechless. "Has anyone ever told you that you have a terrible temper?"
Tony's mouth twitched.
He realized that this kid had the same arrogance he did.
Luo Wen followed Tony inside and found the villa exceptionally luxurious. The entire eastern side was a floor-to-ceiling glass wall, beyond which stretched the boundless sea.
Although he had admired Tony's mansion many times in the movies, this was his first time experiencing it in person. It truly was breathtaking.
"Wait here. I'm going to the workshop to test this metal. Remember, don't touch anything."
Tony walked to the stairs, then turned back and pointed at Luo Wen in warning.
Luo Wen rolled his eyes at Tony again, then casually walked over to Tony's liquor cabinet, picked out a bottle of Tequila that looked pleasing enough, and poured himself a glass.
Seeing how completely at home Luo Wen was, Tony was so annoyed he laughed. But after looking down at the blue-black metal in his hand, he swallowed the words that had reached his lips and stomped off to the basement to run tests.
"Jarvis, test this metal!"
After entering the basement, Tony placed the Kroll Alloy on a testing platform and hurriedly spoke to Jarvis.
"Yes, sir."
A red beam shot out from a corner and scanned the Kroll Alloy all over.
Then the mechanical arm automatically adjusted its position and drilled into the Kroll Alloy.
Immediately afterward, the mechanical arm switched through various tools and conducted multidirectional tests on the Kroll Alloy.
"How is it, Jarvis? Give me the most important figures first—the hardness, density, and ductility?"
Tony took a sip of water and asked impatiently.
"Sir, this metal has a hardness of 143 GPa, a density of 1 g/cm, and a ductility—"
Before Jarvis could finish, Tony exploded.
"Wait, Jarvis, what did you say? This metal has a hardness of 143 GPa? Are you sure the test isn't wrong?"
Tony rushed over to the Kroll alloy, stroking it with an incredulous expression.
"Sir, there is no error in the test. This metal is indeed as the other party claimed. It is five times harder than Diamond."
"Five times harder than Diamond, yet only two-thirds the density of iron..."
It was as if a sun had blossomed in Tony's eyes!
"Jarvis! Can this metal be used in the armor?"
"In theory, absolutely. It could be used not only for the armor's outer shell, but also for its joints and certain components."
"So that kid not only didn't lie to me, he even understated it?"
"Yes, sir."
Tony kept taking deep breaths, shaken by the results before him.
This material completely overturned the current materials industry. Calling it an epoch-making creation would not be an exaggeration.
After decades of manufacturing weapons, aside from Vibranium, he had never seen any metal that could compare to it.
"Motherfucker, don't tell me this can't be mass-produced either, just like Vibranium?"
Tony suddenly thought of something, and the corner of his mouth twitched painfully.
To verify his suspicion, Tony immediately turned around and ran upstairs.
"Hey, kid, how did you find this metal? Do you have any more?"
Watching Tony hurry over, Luo Wen—who was sitting on the sofa with one leg crossed over the other, gently swirling his wineglass as he admired the magnificent sea view—curled his lips into a smile.
"Do you believe I'm not a liar now?"
Looking at Luo Wen sprawled so casually across the sofa, Tony's mouth went dry. He swiftly poured himself a glass of Tequila as well, sat down beside Luo Wen, and took a hasty sip.
"I believe you. You really didn't lie to me. But I want to know—do you have any more of this metal?"
Tony's expression was grave and earnest.
This concerned whether his Iron Man Armor could achieve a qualitative leap.
