"Hah, hah, hah—!"
The moment the Arc Reactor started working, Tony immediately began gasping frantically.
Luo Wen poured two glasses of water and watched Tony's bedraggled state with great interest.
"Have some water and catch your breath." Luo Wen nudged Tony and handed him a glass.
Tony said nothing. Trembling, he took the water and drained it in one gulp, then sprawled out on the workbench and continued gasping heavily.
"Tell me what happened. Didn't you call me over for drinks?"
Luo Wen spoke calmly.
Tony's voice was a little hoarse. Staring at the ceiling, his eyes were deep and icy. "Obadiah ambushed me."
Clearly, he had finally seen Obadiah for what he truly was.
Luo Wen nodded.
According to the plot, Tony would next have a life-or-death battle with Obadiah.
Luo Wen had no intention of getting involved.
Tony hadn't asked him to help, and he absolutely wouldn't do anything without some benefit in it for him.
"So what are you planning to do next?"
"Pepper took people to arrest Obadiah. No, she's in danger!"
Tony touched the old Arc Reactor in his chest and abruptly rose to his feet.
Obadiah had gone to great lengths to steal the Arc Reactor, which meant that the Iron Man Armor he had replicated now had an energy core.
Tony knew that Obadiah, wearing the Iron Man Armor, was not someone Pepper and a few S.H.I.E.L.D. agents could arrest.
"Jarvis, suit me up!"
Tony staggered along the wall and stepped onto the platform, beginning to put on the Iron Man Armor.
Watching Tony prepare to leave, Luo Wen curled his lips.
He had been thinking they would drink until they dropped tonight, but who knew he would run into the plot instead?
Forget it. He should just go home and eat.
Luo Wen took out his phone, intending to message Hill and ask her to save him something to eat.
But then he noticed an unread message from Hill.
Okay, I happen to be on duty tonight too. Something has gone wrong at Stark Industries, and Fury told me to deal with it.
"?"
Luo Wen's gaze sharpened as he looked at the unread message on his phone.
Deal with the mess at Stark Industries?
Could Hill be leading the agents sent to arrest Obadiah?
Luo Wen immediately grew tense.
Obadiah's Iron Monger Armor was no weak opponent.
And who knew whether Obadiah had used Kroll Alloy Enhancement on the Iron Monger Armor.
With the Arc Reactor in hand and the Iron Monger Armor activated, Obadiah was absolutely not someone Hill and a few S.H.I.E.L.D. agents could handle.
Worried, Luo Wen immediately called Hill.
"The number you have dialed is powered off..."
Hearing the automated message, Luo Wen's brow furrowed tightly.
"Tony, take me with you. I'm going too!"
Tony, who had just finished putting on the armor, frowned when he heard Luo Wen.
"Luo Wen, I'm going to deal with Obadiah. It's dangerous."
Luo Wen shook his head.
Tony's villa was a full forty-minute drive from the Stark Industries building. Driving there was far too slow!
"Hill is there. She may already be fighting Obadiah," Luo Wen said quickly.
"Hill?" Tony's expression turned grave. Of course he knew Hill. Since Coulson had been transferred away, Hill had served as S.H.I.E.L.D.'s representative in contact with him. Some time ago, he had also learned that Hill was Luo Wen's older sister.
"But if I take you with me, I won't be able to fly at full speed." Tony was growing anxious.
His flight speed exceeded the speed of sound. Ordinary people simply could not withstand that kind of wind pressure and freezing temperature.
But if he slowed down, Pepper and Hill would be in even greater danger.
"You don't need to worry about me. Fly at full speed—I can handle it!"
Luo Wen stepped forward, stood behind Tony, and grabbed the shoulder of Tony's Iron Man Armor.
Seeing that Tony still wanted to persuade him, Luo Wen said solemnly, "Trust me, I'm not joking."
Looking at the serious Luo Wen, Tony's heart skipped a beat.
Rationally, he thought it was impossible, but emotionally, he nodded instinctively.
Fine. At worst, he could put Luo Wen down when he couldn't take it anymore.
Tony thought to himself.
"Alright, then hold on tight!" Tony's Face Mask lowered.
The next second, the workshop roof opened, and Tony shot into the sky with Luo Wen.
"Whoosh—!"
Clinging to Tony's shoulders, Luo Wen only felt the wind roaring past his ears.
Luo Wen's expression remained unchanged as he narrowed his eyes.
His current physical condition rivaled Captain America's, enough to withstand the pressure of supersonic flight.
When Tony flew into the high altitude and discovered that Luo Wen was firmly pressed against his back, he could not help but feel astonished.
He had not expected Luo Wen's physical condition to be this good. An ordinary person would have long since lost their grip and fallen.
"Jarvis, monitor Luo Wen's vital signs. If he can't hold on, notify me immediately!"
Tony gave Jarvis an order, then flew toward Stark Industries.
"Whoosh—"
Tony truly did not slow down. The surrounding air struck Luo Wen's body like hammers.
Moreover, high-speed flight at high altitude brought terrifyingly low temperatures.
Luo Wen's hair whipped wildly in the wind, and a thin layer of frost had already appeared on his eyebrows and at the roots of his hair.
Yet Luo Wen's expression remained calm, his hands gripping Tony's armor tightly like eagle claws.
Inside the armor, Tony stared at Luo Wen's vital-sign monitor, his heart filled with shock.
He had originally been prepared to put Luo Wen down midway once he could no longer endure it.
Who would have thought that aside from a slight drop in his surface temperature, Luo Wen's vital signs showed no other changes whatsoever.
Even his heart rate had not risen.
Was this guy a monster?
His current flight speed was comparable to an F-22 Fighter Jet.
If Luo Wen could hold onto him, didn't that mean he could cling to an airplane with his bare hands too?
Tony was full of questions, but he knew there was something more important to do.
Soon, Tony brought Luo Wen to the Stark Industries complex, where the Arc Reactor was located.
From far away, Luo Wen and Tony saw seven or eight S.H.I.E.L.D. agents surrounding a huge, hulking robot and firing at it.
The bullets struck its hard metal shell, throwing up countless sparks, yet it remained completely unharmed, without even a single bullet mark.
Looking at its blue-black exterior, Luo Wen's mouth twitched. Sure enough, that old bastard Obadiah had added Kroll Alloy when building the Iron Monger Armor.
Fortunately, Obadiah's Iron Monger Armor most likely used Level 2 Kroll Alloy.
Meanwhile, Tony's Iron Man Armor had incorporated large amounts of Level 3 Kroll Alloy.
Its chest plate and helmet were even made from Level 4 Kroll Alloy.
"You insignificant pests! Get out of my way!"
Controlling the Iron Monger Armor, Obadiah swept his massive arm around him.
Bang!
Two unlucky S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were immediately sent flying more than ten meters.
Hill, Pepper, and the others were startled.
That strength was too terrifying. Even a glancing blow would mean death or serious injury!
"HAHAHAHA!"
Seeing the agent whose chest had caved in, dead like a broken doll, Obadiah burst into manic laughter.
He reveled in the thrill of controlling other people's lives and deaths through brute force.
"You're all going to die!"
After laughing for a while, Obadiah said cruelly to Hill and the other agents.
With that, Obadiah raised his iron arm, intending to slaughter the agents beside Hill.
