Kroll Alloy
After Hill washed her hands, Luo Wen had already set out the food and chopsticks.
Hill had been out on assignment these past two days and might have truly been starving. She wolfed down two large bowls of rice and even drank every last drop of soup from the pot.
"Say, Hill, is Fury really that stingy? You went on a business trip with him and came back looking like a starving ghost reincarnated. Was the food really that bad?"
Seeing Hill lean back in her chair with a satisfied expression after eating her fill, Luo Wen smiled.
Hill curled her lips.
"He's not stingy. He just has absolutely no idea what good food is. Every day, he took me out for spaghetti and macaroni, or steak and pizza. I was going insane!"
"Isn't that pretty good? Maybe you're just too picky."
Luo Wen spread his hands.
That was what Americans usually ate, after all. Fury could hardly be accused of mistreating his subordinates.
"Hmph, you're the one who spoiled my taste buds. It's all your fault, so you have to take responsibility!"
Hill said haughtily.
If her colleagues at S.H.I.E.L.D. saw Hill's expression and heard that tone, their jaws would probably hit the floor. Hill was known for being poised and intellectual. She was not exactly an ice queen, but she was not easy to approach either.
"Fine, fine. I'll take responsibility."
Luo Wen smiled as he cleared away the bowls and chopsticks.
By now, Hill and Natasha had both completely developed Chinese stomachs. Making them eat Western food every day again would definitely be unbearable for them.
Once Natasha returned in a couple of days, she would probably eat far more than Hill had.
"Luo Wen, haven't you gotten taller again lately?"
Watching Luo Wen carry the dishes toward the kitchen, Hill asked curiously.
"Have I?"
Luo Wen paused slightly.
"I think you've grown a little taller." Hill rested her chin on her hand and examined him for a moment.
As she looked, she narrowed her eyes and smiled.
Because her little brother was really handsome.
"It's normal to grow taller. I'm at the age where I'm still growing."
Luo Wen replied.
But he knew inwardly that it might be an effect of the RR virus.
After washing the pots and dishes and cleaning up the kitchen, Luo Wen sat on the couch and turned on the television. Hill had just finished showering and came out of the bathroom, towel-drying her hair.
When she saw Luo Wen, Hill smiled. "Luo Wen, help me dry my hair—"
"Okay."
Sitting on the couch, Luo Wen patted the spot beside him.
Hill walked over and sat down, then lay back with practiced ease, resting her head slightly above Luo Wen's knees.
Luo Wen switched on the hair dryer and began drying Hill's hair.
"Hill, doesn't Fury usually take Coulson with him whenever he goes to headquarters to report? Why did he have you go this time?"
Luo Wen chatted with Hill as he dried her hair.
Hill shifted her body and found a more comfortable position.
"Coulson has been handing over his work lately. Something unusual happened in New Mexico, and Fury didn't trust anyone else to handle it, so he had Coulson take charge."
Hill spoke with her eyes closed.
"New Mexico."
Luo Wen's heart stirred. It seemed Thor had been banished to Earth by Odin.
Mjolnir had caused too much of a commotion. Fury was uneasy, so he sent Coulson there personally to investigate.
"When is Coulson leaving?"
Luo Wen asked.
Thor had nothing to do with him, and he had no interest in getting involved. But he did have something to discuss with Coulson.
Coulson was Fury's most trusted subordinate and most capable agent. For superheroes like Iron Man and Thor, Fury always sent Coulson to make contact.
Within S.H.I.E.L.D., Coulson was most familiar with Tony Stark.
Luo Wen wanted to use Coulson to get in touch with Tony Stark.
"I think tomorrow afternoon."
"Tomorrow afternoon? Looks like I'll have to find Coulson tomorrow."
Luo Wen thought.
"What mission has Natasha been on lately? She only comes back once a week."
Luo Wen continued asking.
"An undercover mission, I suppose. Fury didn't tell me the specifics, and I didn't ask."
"Alright, another undercover mission." Luo Wen shook his head helplessly.
Natasha always enjoyed this sort of spy role-playing. Once others became infatuated with her beauty and voluntarily revealed useful information, she would suddenly strike back and take them all down in one sweep.
That was also why she was called the Black Widow.
"Will she be back for dinner this weekend?"
Luo Wen asked.
Yet after two or three seconds, Hill still did not answer him.
Looking down, Luo Wen saw that Hill had already fallen asleep. Her steady breaths brushed against his leg, making it tickle.
Luo Wen switched off the hair dryer and touched her hair. It was roughly seventy percent dry.
"Looks like she got tired out from that trip."
Looking at Hill's sleeping profile, Luo Wen felt a little heartache.
For Hill to become a Level 9 agent by the age of twenty-five and be regarded by Fury as his right-hand woman, how could her usual work not be exhausting?
And a large part of why Hill worked so hard was that she wanted to protect him and provide him with a better environment to grow up in.
Luo Wen turned off the television and leaned back on the sofa, thinking about how he should communicate with Tony Stark next.
About twenty minutes later, Luo Wen touched Hill's hair. It was basically ninety percent dry by then.
He gently picked Hill up, carried her to the bed in her bedroom, and tucked her in.
After switching off the light and closing Hill's door, Luo Wen returned to his own room. He turned on the desk lamp, took out a notebook, and began scribbling as he thought.
"I currently have 600,000 Chinese Yuan in Swallowed Star."
"The Swallowed Star world is a future world. Some of its technology is ahead of the Marvel world, but because the human base cities have limited space, resources are scarce. I can use resources from the Marvel world to exchange for advanced technology from the Swallowed Star world..."
Luo Wen pondered quietly.
"Tony has only just become Iron Man. He'll probably clash with Obadiah before long, and he urgently needs special metals to arm his Battle Armor. Kroll Alloy from the Swallowed Star world happens to meet that requirement..."
Luo Wen wrote down "Kroll Alloy" in his notebook, circled it, and drew a five-pointed star beside it.
Kroll Alloy was one of the greatest inventions in the Swallowed Star world, as recognized by Earthlings. It had been invented by Kroll Desena using materials from monster corpses and a metal called "Blue Gold" discovered on the moon.
Based on the monster materials used, Kroll Alloy was divided into ten grades.
The hardness of Level 2 Kroll Alloy alone was already comparable to Diamond.
To say nothing of anything else, just a few kilograms of Level 3 Kroll Alloy would be enough to move Tony and get him to let Luo Wen use the Arc Reactor to charge himself.
"Maybe I can establish a company in the Marvel world specifically to sell Kroll Alloy..."
As Luo Wen thought, a great idea suddenly came to him.
