The Flame Emperor recognized Hong's victory over Rong Jun as proof of the Giant Axe Arena's strength. He dispersed recruitment representatives pressuring Hong, offered Hong leadership of the Earth liaison office, and invited Luo Wen, Thor, and Luo Feng to join the Arena. He particularly valued Luo Wen's strategic vision. 331

After Luo Wen declined permanent membership in favor of independence, the Flame Emperor proposed a task-by-task consulting arrangement. The Flame Emperor revealed his identity before Martial God, presented the evidence with Luo Wen and Lei Ming, and forced Sark to confess. Martial God then ordered Sark's imprisonment and tasked the Flame Emperor with leading a counterattack against the remaining traitors. 346 347
