Although the Sun Moon Empire had yet to fully understand the principles behind the Soul Guidance Flying Vehicle, its Soul Engineers were skilled enough to make certain modifications.
The appearance of the Soul Guidance Flying Vehicle was like opening Pandora's Box. In the Sun Moon Empire, bicycles, flying vehicles, tricycles, four-wheeled vehicles... all manner of vehicle-type Soul Tools sprang up like bamboo shoots after rain, though they still fell somewhat short of the Soul Guidance Flying Vehicle in cost-effectiveness.
The modified tricycle had a carriage added behind the Soul Guidance Flying Vehicle, allowing it to carry more people. Jiang Hai had not made this tricycle himself; the Second Academy had lent it to him.
The tricycle raced ahead, leaving a trail of dust as it threaded through Mingdu's streets. The endless stream of vehicles already gave the streets something of the bustle of flowing traffic and milling crowds, making the city even noisier. Yet that clamor felt inexplicably familiar to Jiang Hai.
Half an hour later, after crossing a sizable portion of the city, the tricycle finally stopped before a tall, lavish gatehouse.
