Long before that, however, the Douluo Continent had already lived through an immensely long history.
That long stretch of history had witnessed the glory led by the Dragon God. Later, one outstanding prodigy after another arose among humanity. Their rise broke the Soul Beasts' dominion over the Douluo Continent and established its present order.
But even before humanity's rise, many brilliant stars had illuminated the road ahead for the human race.
The Holy Emperor was one such person.
The Holy Emperor was an Evil Soul Master-an exceedingly terrifying one. Even the Dragon God, the most gifted member of the Soul Beast Clan, had lost to him several times before becoming a god. Unfortunately, the Soul Beast Clan was simply too powerful, and the Dragon God attained his divine seat first. Thus, the Holy Emperor vanished into the torrent of history.
The first Cult Master of the Holy Spirit Cult discovered the Holy Emperor's ruins and established an Evil Soul Master sect there, making the Holy Emperor the object of the cult's faith. Yet the inheritance they obtained was incomplete from the outset.
Even so, the Holy Spirit Cult's hidden strength already surpassed that of any sect on the Douluo Continent. With three Limit Douluos, nearly twenty Titled Douluos, and two allies at the Limit Douluo level-the Demon Empress and the Evil Emperor-only the Soul Beasts of the Star Dou Great Forest could rival them in the number of top-tier experts.
While lying low in the Holy Spirit Cult, Jiang Hai had also obtained part of the Holy Emperor's inheritance, raising his second Soul Ring to ten thousand years. But that
