Background / History

Childhood and Shrek Academy

Huo Yuhao was born to White Tiger Duke Dai Hao and the maid Huo Yun’er. His father spent years away commanding troops and did not know he had a son named Huo Yuhao. Without a White Tiger martial soul or strong innate soul power, the boy and his mother endured abuse and deprivation in the Duke’s household. After Huo Yun’er was persecuted to death, he left at eleven, adopted her surname, and vowed revenge 443.

At Shrek Academy, he developed a close partnership with Wang Dong’er. Their martial souls had one hundred percent compatibility, enabling powerful fusion skills and accelerated joint cultivation. Together, they defeated Dai Huabin in the Freshman Assessment. After obtaining Ultimate Ice through the Ice Empress, he attracted the attention of both Shrek’s Martial Soul and Soul Tool departments and eventually studied in both 443.

Ascension and the Tang Family

His devotion to Wang Dong’er repeatedly led him into danger. Believing that she suffered from a terminal illness, he traveled to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well to obtain the Lovesick Heartbreak Red, risking severe injury to pick it. Wang Qiu’er accompanied him and fell in love with him after witnessing his sacrifices 443.

He later helped Ju Zi kill Xu Tianran, but she broke her promise and conquered the Dou Ling Empire and most of the Star Luo Empire. Tang San intervened, ordering her to withdraw her troops and rename the Sun Moon Empire. Huo Yuhao subsequently defeated Di Tian and ascended as the God of Emotion 445.

In the Divine Realm, he discovered that Tang San had resurrected Huo Yun’er and placed her in Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing’s care. He accepted the Dai surname and remained devoted to the Tang Family. The younger Huo Yuhao interprets this submission as the result of Tang San exploiting both his marriage and his mother’s resurrection 445.

Spacetime Mission

Tang San praised Huo Yuhao for helping Rong Nianbing and Zhou Weiqing control the Divine Realm’s core during the spacetime crisis. He then claimed that an unknown being was trying to erase them from history and sent Huo Yuhao into the past to destroy it, presenting the mission as necessary to protect Tang Wutong 379.

Seven Supreme God Kings powered the Stabilizing Array, but the Black Hole’s pull nearly collapsed its passage. Huo Yuhao crossed successfully, while Tang San secretly withheld part of his strength and left the other six God Kings severely depleted 379.

The intended destination was the moment when the younger Huo Yuhao first reached Shrek City. Instead, he arrived much later above the Far North Ice Sea, reduced to Soul Saint strength. There, he discovered that the supposed anomaly was another Huo Yuhao inhabited by a soul from a different world 447.

Confrontation with His Counterpart

The two Huo Yuhaos exchanged Soul Shock attacks and argued over Tang San. The visitor defended his father-in-law, while the younger Huo Yuhao accused Tang San of exploitation, hypocrisy, and neglect of the continent. Their pursuit led into the Sea Within the Sea, where Tang San appeared 447 448.

Despite the visitor kneeling and explaining his mission, Tang San distrusted him and forced the two counterparts to fight. The younger Huo Yuhao absorbed his ice domain, countered his attacks, and challenged him over Wang Qiu’er’s sacrifice and the origins of the Eternal Eye. When the older Huo Yuhao requested help, Tang San refused 449 451.

In Slaughter City, the younger Huo Yuhao recognized that his counterpart had begun agreeing with some of his criticisms, but remained hesitant to oppose Tang San because his wife and child were still in Tang San’s hands. During their arena confrontation, Tang San killed the younger Huo Yuhao, whose resurrection brought Elder Yi into the arena. The visiting Huo Yuhao tearfully recognized his teacher and was comforted by him 455 458.

Appearance

  • Height and build: Over 1.9 meters tall, with an imposing, heroic bearing 447.
  • Face: Handsome features with an otherworldly grace 447.
  • Eyes: Double pupils with rose-gold and purple-gold coloration; his clear gaze is described as capable of reflecting the universe 447.
  • Forehead: A vertical eye associated with profound truths of heaven and earth 447.
  • Ice aura: His arrival causes ice-blue snow to fall despite the summer heat 447.

Personality

Huo Yuhao is intensely loyal to the Tang Family. He credits his mission to protecting them, addresses Tang San as “Father,” and immediately kneels when they meet in the younger counterpart’s world. Insults against Tang San provoke him into defending his father-in-law and fighting his counterpart 379 447 449.

His loyalty is not entirely unshakable. After hearing the younger Huo Yuhao’s arguments, he becomes visibly hesitant. The younger counterpart believes that concern for his wife and child remains a major obstacle to openly turning against Tang San 455.

He retains deep affection for Electrolux. Seeing Elder Yi again produces a tearful reunion, sharply contrasting with his earlier hostility toward the younger Huo Yuhao 458.

Abilities & Skills

Spiritual Eyes and Mental Attacks

His original martial soul is the mental-attribute Spiritual Eyes 443.

  • Soul Shock: Exchanges direct mental attacks with his younger counterpart during their first encounter 447.
  • Sorrow of Destiny: Uses a destiny-related attack in their duel, but suffers a rebound when it fails against the younger Huo Yuhao 451.
  • Spiritual power limitation: His weakened state prevents him from safely unleashing the Eternal Eye’s full power 449.

Ultimate Ice

His second martial soul originates from the Ice Empress, granting him the Ultimate Ice attribute 443.

  • Weather alteration: Produces cold and snowfall through his cultivation alone 447.
  • Snow Dance Extreme Ice Domain: Uses the domain against his younger counterpart, who absorbs it and turns the exchange against him 449.
  • Divine-level control: Retains his combat experience and elemental mastery even after losing most of his cultivation 450.

Eternal Frozen Cold, Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix

An elemental technique formed through ice manipulation and the Snow Dance Extreme Ice Domain rather than a conventional soul skill 450.

  • Creates an ice-blue phoenix nearly one hundred meters long, accompanied by countless ice birds 450.
  • Its power is described as beyond the ability of anyone below Super Douluo to withstand 450.

Martial Soul Fusion

His martial souls are completely compatible with Wang Dong’er’s, allowing them to cultivate together more efficiently and perform powerful combined attacks 443.

  • Their fusion skill helps defeat Dai Huabin during the Freshman Assessment 443.
  • The partnership is central to his early development at Shrek Academy 443.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Eternal Eye — A super divine artifact revealed during the duel with his younger counterpart. His reduced strength makes its full release unsafe; Tang San later shows interest in claiming it 449 451.
  • Ice-Extreme War God Armor — Battle armor used against the younger Huo Yuhao’s red-and-blue armor 449.
  • Head soul bone associated with Wang Qiu’er — The younger Huo Yuhao’s account connects it to her sacrifice for him 446.

Relationships

  • Tang San — Father-in-law and mission commander. Huo Yuhao serves him loyally, but Tang San distrusts him, forces him to fight his counterpart, and refuses his request for help 379 449 451.
  • Tang Wutong / Wang Dong’er — Wife and former Shrek Academy partner. Their complete martial soul compatibility supports their cultivation and combat partnership; protecting her motivates his spacetime mission 379 443 446.
  • Huo Yun’er — Mother. Her death originally drives his desire for revenge; her resurrection by Tang San later becomes part of the younger counterpart’s explanation for his submission to the Tang Family 443 445.
  • Dai Hao — Biological father. Neglected him during childhood; the younger Huo Yuhao condemns his eventual reconciliation with Dai Hao and restoration of the Dai surname 443 445.
  • Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing — Ancestors who care for the resurrected Huo Yun’er in the Divine Realm 445.
  • Electrolux / Elder Yi — Teacher who sacrificed his remaining divine sense to create the Snow Empress soul spirit. Huo Yuhao tearfully reunites with Elder Yi in Slaughter City 443 458.
  • Sky Dream Ice Silkworm — Early benefactor who establishes his spiritual foundation and arranges his fusion with the Ice Empress 1 443.
  • Ice Empress — Willingly becomes his second martial soul through Sky Dream’s plan to create a god 443.
  • Snow Empress — Becomes his soul spirit through Electrolux’s final intervention 443.
  • Wang Qiu’er — Loves him and ultimately sacrifices herself for him. Her fate becomes a major point of accusation during his duel with the younger counterpart 443 446 451.
  • Younger Huo Yuhao — Transmigrated counterpart and the target of his mission. Their conflict develops from an ideological argument into a forced duel, followed by growing doubt about Tang San 447 449 455.
  • Dai Ying — Daughter. The younger counterpart criticizes his favoritism toward her as a repetition of Tang San’s parenting 446.

Trivia

  • His Dai surname distinguishes him from the transmigrated protagonist, who explicitly rejects the original Huo Yuhao’s decision to restore that surname 445 447.
  • Tang San’s spacetime plan was designed to pit a near–God King First-Level God against the younger Huo Yuhao at the beginning of his Shrek City journey. The passage malfunction prevented that overwhelming advantage 447.
  • The younger Huo Yuhao argues that his original counterpart’s life was shaped by a struggle for familial approval rather than personal freedom; this is an in-story judgment, not a separate cultivation milestone or title 445 446.
