Qian Renyue had somehow walked up behind Little Phoenix without him noticing. A chill ran down his spine, and the peach in his hand suddenly lost its appeal.
"Hehe."
He clapped his hands and stood up. "Master, of course not! It was simply time for me to take human form. Staying inside you for so long had me bored to death! Your soul power has been overflowing a little lately, and I was already on the verge of taking human form, so I ate a bit more. Who knew that after eating a bit more, I'd suddenly be able to transform? And then, here I was, right in front of you!"
Little Phoenix sounded sincere and did not look as though he was lying, but Qian Renyue still felt there was more to it. She frowned slightly and asked for confirmation, "Was it really just time?"
"Really!" Little Phoenix vowed earnestly. "But I can't stay in human form for long. After all, my Soul Ring and Soul Bone are still with you, Master!"
"Then by that logic, you shouldn't be able to appear at all. After all, your Soul Ring and Soul Bone are both with me!"
"Uh..."

"No need."
Qian Renyue cast Little Phoenix a sidelong glance, then looked away. "Come out whenever you want. You don't need to tell me first."
"Then don't be angry, Master!"

"What reason?"
