Chapter 10: New traps. Armed with the clues they had obtained from the library, Mu Chen, Luo Li, and their companions headed toward the fifth floor of the Spiritual Power Tower. They knew full well that every floor they climbed brought greater danger, and new traps might be lurking in the shadows, waiting for them. As they stepped onto the fifth floor, an oppressive surge of spiritual power struck them head-on. The space was vast, its surrounding walls embedded with enormous Spiritual Power Crystals. The light radiating from the crystals intertwined into a complex web of spiritual light, illuminating the entire space as brightly as day. Yet dangers that were difficult to detect lay hidden within this seemingly bright environment. "Be careful, everyone. The spiritual power fluctuations here are far from normal." Mu Chen's brows knitted tightly. He could feel the surrounding spiritual power weaving and flowing through the web of light as though it were alive, putting him on his guard. They advanced cautiously. Suddenly, faint traces of spiritual power appeared on the ground. They spread rapidly, tracing intricate patterns across the floor like living creatures. "It's a trap!" Luo Li shouted. No sooner had she spoken than some of the lines within the patterns began to glow. An instant later, Spiritual Power Spikes burst through the floor and shot toward them. "Scatter!" Mu Chen roared, and everyone quickly dispersed in all directions. The Spiritual Power Spikes moved at tremendous speed, leaving trails of spiritual sparks across the floor. Some struck the surrounding walls and pierced straight through the hard surfaces, a testament to their devastating force. "These spikes follow an attack pattern!
