Chapter 21: Trial of Strength. The stone doors swung wide, and the mysterious power surging out rampaged through the cave like a roaring, furious dragon. Mu Chen and Luo Li stood before the doors, their clothes snapping and their hair whipping under the powerful spiritual energy assault. They stared ahead, their eyes holding both awe of the unknown and the resolve to face the challenge. "This surge of power is only the beginning. The real trial should be inside," Mu Chen said loudly, his voice remaining clear amid the howling winds of spiritual energy. Luo Li nodded slightly. The Spiritual Power Sword in her hand shone even brighter, as though answering the coming challenge. "Whatever the trial is, we cannot back down." Step by step, they entered the space beyond the stone doors. It resembled the center of an enormous spiritual power vortex. Huge Spiritual Power Crystals were embedded in the surrounding walls, with brilliant, multicolored light flowing within them. The lights intertwined, forming dreamlike scenes that revealed the ancient, mysterious history of the Spirit Road World. Before they could examine them closely, however, their surroundings suddenly changed. The spiritual light condensed into bands that seemed almost solid. Like agile snakes, the bands twisted toward them, seeking to coil around their bodies. They contained immense power; once caught, a person would be pinned as though beneath a ten-thousand-jin boulder, unable to move. "Watch out!" Mu Chen warned. He unleashed Star Phantom Dance, and star power formed spinning spheres of spiritual light around him. The spheres collided with the bands, every impact erupting in dazzling sparks of spiritual energy.
